Thanks for posting this one FT. It's one of those stories I could read over and over. It really is that good!

I always found this story an interesting thought on how a different business plan could be - the idea of less salary and more other stuff inculded as part of salary is a very interesting idea that really makes sense but would it really work - lots of good ideas but would mankind let it really happen - makes me think

I loved it. A (small) comment. When he got the para 14 (brand spaking new) I feel he should have at least gone to the indoor range and put a couple mags thru it before hitting the streets.
IMO not many experienced folks would care to carry a NIB (custom) gun esp with "Flying ashtray" (IIRC) which has a history of not being 100% in non throated (1911s) or seriously tight chambers.
Otherwise its a wonderful story.

Larry: Good catch, in this case, he made a rookie mistake and got away with it.

PO guns are VERY reliable, and the P-14 Limited comes from the factory with a polished/throated ramp to reliably feed large-nose hollowpoints. The P-14 Limited in Stainless is one of the few guns I would have trusted NIB as a carry weapon. The P-14 Limited is only semi-custom since they're built on a production line then custom fitted.

Another great story!

I’ll only ask for costs if we win from you,

ofuzzy1: You're right, that should read "I'll only ask you for costs if we win."

Nice Catch.

If you have any extensive "goof" comments, please PM me since it's easier to work with PM's for stuff like that.

Thanks for the new chapters FT. They sure move fast around there! Glad to see that they put in gardens and have pantry preps for a year at a time. And even moved in their extended/elderly family members.

Basically when they applied for jobs, they were given applications listing who would be living with them, and they accepted families with elderly parents on a case by case basis, as long as they were still alert/oriented and mobile even if they needed a wheelchair. They didn't allow any elderly that should be in a nursing home to live there, since they weren't set up to provide a nursing home. My guess was anyone with an elderly parent that had to be in a nursing facility had the funds to put them in a nicer facility since they had lower overhead living at the mine. Either way - their parents benefitted.

Actually everyone got a great starting salary.
Ken asked them what was the most they ever made, than paid them that.
Which did not include all additional the benefits.

You're gonna love the next chapter :Big Silly Grin:

I bought his Flea's CD a while back.
I've re-read several of them.

Thanks for chapters. Even having read it yrs ago I still wonder if he will (grow up) before getting to the mine. If his (persona) will become HIM. Or if he will go thru with his plans to kill/destroy. I won't give answeres and spoil the story.
Of course the biggest question. Will he get rid of the Lorcin and get a Glock? :)

Thanks. Well he got rid of the Lorcin. :) Do they let him take his truck on the C-130? :)
Have to admit if I was not being chased I don't know if I would want to go on base like that. It kinda sounded like everything they had was (taken) .

Thank you so much for the great story FT. It was just as good as it was the first time I read it. But, I always wondered, is there a chance for a sequal? :shr:

TOM/SW: Sorry, this story line's deader than a Dodo! I wrote it several years ago, and I've got so many irons in the fire now that if I live to be as old as TOM, I STILL might not get them all done!

Another really great story. Wish we could really do that but don't think we can get all the libs in one place to make it possible.

This story was what dreams are made of....Thank you for giving it to us.

I saw an article recently where a shoplifter was required to wear a sign saying he had stolen from Walmart. I thought at the time WOW a punishment that fit the crime. Would be terribly embarrassing and I would think a better deterent than prison, which generally just makes things worse.

Thank you and I look forward to more of your stories. So tell me, what's next?

CG: They DID get most of them - getting all of them would involve nuking both coasts and now Denver too.

Oh, well - at least we can dream...

To paraphrase Martin Luther King " I have a dream"

My dream is Ron Paul is elected President and survives to lead this country to fulfill your story in my lifetime....LOL and that won't give him much time to get the job done.

The rest of my dream is that Americans wake up and really support him. We bring manufacturing back to the United States and eliminate Welfare, and the war on everything.

Yes, we can still dream. That is one thing they can't take away from us.
God Bless
