Not really a fit for here or the Art room, but I figured this would hit the right peeps.

Anybody have a good source for Claessen linen, double primed, bulk? Or a good substitute?

Mom wants a big roll, 82" x 6 yards.

She'll put on wood or masonite for painting.

Apparently, good quality canvas matts are getting outrageous.

I can stretch them for her if needed.

She has a single artist show later in the year at a gallery/museum in S Louisiana.

Mostly paintings, but I'm pushing her to have some sculptures there too.

One of her bronzes.

Wow! That's stunning! She is truly gifted!
I doubt my fabric sources would carry the brand, and I'm too clueless to know what could be a reasonable substitute.

I'd love to see more of your mom's work, if you can manage it.

This is less of a longshot than it might look like:

This outfit was doing "Living History " WELL before I was 10 yrs old (ie in the 1950's)

They market a bunch of what they make as historical items.

They MIGHT know what you need.

Can't hurt.

At one point IIRSC the Clydesdales had a full hitch AND a development stable within a mile or two of there.

I've often mused that some of the heavy duty Tyvek house rap could be used for other purposes.

Stuff is tuff, wonder if it would hold paint?

My grandma was a artist, she dumpster dived behind some of the old drive in diners back in the late 50s. And got a bunch of 2'×2' about hard card board advertisement signs. They had pictures of the $.25 cent burgers and such, and of course with a picture of a coke.

She painted on the back side of them. I have a full set. Did have duplicates that she never painted on. Sold them for $50 each.

Neither here nor there.
Ummm yes the price has become outrageous in the past three or so years. I do not have one for you, unfortunately other than contacting the manufacturer and asking for sponsorship which is what I have done with several products.
