Given how Internet news about ebola that doesn't fit the "script" keeps vanishing, I've done screen-shots of this entire page.

Here ya go: (1st 5 this post, 2 more on next)

Given this, does ANYONE still trust our government---and our media---enough to believe that we are being told the truth NOW about how many folk TRULY have ebola at this moment in the U.S.?

OR to be naive enough to believe that the government isn't HIDING Duncan's close associates (the ones taken to the "gated community" house last week, after spending 4 days in the contaminated apartment AFTER Duncan was FINALLY admitted to the hospital) BECAUSE THEY ALREADY HAVE EBOLA?

If they didn't have it, CDC would AT LEAST be broadcasting phone interviews with them, or sharing camera-shots of them from skype, or something--- just to keep the "script" going and to PROVE THEMSELVES CORRECT that ebola is "not easily caught."

THINK, people.

The ONLY way we HAVE to get to the truth now, is to SPEAK OUT to help each other.

Keeping silent NOW, could cost HUNDREDS of lives.

I couldn't agree with you more, Countrymouse. If those 4 family members, at least, don't come down with Ebola, then Duncan didn't have Ebola. It's just that simple based on everything we've been told about transmission never mind what they won't admit to. And the only reason I can think of is the elections. It's unimaginable that such a serious disease should be treated as a partisan issue but that seems to be the only thing that makes sense. Given the numerous lies that have been put forward over recent years and which are now mostly irrefutable, it seems that this very much falls into the realm of possibility.

I am wondering, when someone gets sick or put into quarantine are they taking away their electronics (phone ipad etc)? The dr in Liberia had her tablet with her each day I remember reading and even the nurse in Madrid had her phone still because that is how she found out she tested positive. But here in the US? They will take away your communication devices immediately prob :(

Job#1 is to keep the people placated and keep them from panicking. To that extent they'll issue talking points to the media and do the perfunctory press conferences that tell you nothing but they really won't address it substantively unless it becomes obvious it's getting out of control. Many of these people with reported symptoms will never be heard from again on the news publicly. This is where social media comes to play because they would have to shut the whole net down to keep people from sharing what they are seeing/hearing on twitter, ect. The worse it gets the less they will say about it officially but like anything else read between the lines. What they say doesn't mean very much but their body language when they talk will speak volumes. Only the best can control body language when they are lying through their teeth or feeding you a line of horse feces when they know what they are serving.

Anyone here think there will be another new Ebola Positive patient news releases after the Stock Market closes today?

It is clear the CDC has either, on its own authority, or more likely, been told by its masters to keep information about Ebola suppressed until after the November elections. The political implications, for Obama and the Democrats, of a wave of Ebola cases in the last few days of October, are very negative. The CDC has been told to keep the news under wraps to prevent a Republican surge on border security fears.

The CDC is a political beast, much more than it is a medical one. Further, haven't there been several stories about the CDC losing vials of various diseases recently?

The CDC is playing a political game, under orders from the Democrats to prevent losses in the November elections. Anybody care to think what would happen if the major news stories, from November 1 to 3rd were all about Ebola cases in Dallas, directly as a result of Obama and the Democrats failure to ban air travel from West Africa.

The head of the CDC is a cretin. The CDC is a whore playing political games. Americans are going to die because of this. The powers that be are playing a very risky game to stay in power. What they don't realize, or take seriously, is how angry the American people are going to get when they figure this out.

If it IS spreading like wildfire and ERs keep discharging infected pts or "not Ebola" for all suspected cases, then eventually ppl staggering around with blood pouring out of orifices will be captured on cameras and posted on social media.

It's only a matter of Time just how much is or is not being covered up. We'll know by Christmas.

We will know what the status of the Duncan family is no later than Halloween, or possibly October 22nd at the earliest. If the CDC doesn't have the Duncan family in a live press conference by October 24th, when the 21 day exposure period ends, Cascadians the American people are going to go NUTS.

The CDC is apparently gambling they can control the info. The Internet changes everything. The CDC can keep the family sequestered until the 21 day period expires, but after that somebody is going to leak their status no matter what the CDC does.

They were staying--supposedly---in a PRIVATE HOME donated for their use by a member of the church they attended.

I cannot imagine they would have DISCONNECTED the phone just because they went to live there.

She would at least have wanted to be in contact with her daughter, who lived in another area, I understand, or possibly with Duncan's sister (the one from NC).

I just can't see them "taking away her phone"---unless it was for nefarious reasons.

I just read an article that said she had a phone but no tv or internet. Sorry, but I haven't figured out how to cut and paste on my Kindle.

While I can see an elderly person living without a computer (my MIL does) I know of VERY FEW people who choose to live without a TV set.

Sounds like the family is as isolated from the world as the world is from the family.

I would be very surprised if 96% of the American people even remember Louise Troh and her family by October 22nd. They should, but I doubt they will. Too much will happen by then. Too many false reports. Too much information. Unless the media brings it up, they will have forgotten by then.

I predict by October 22nd, if there are no new cases, the American people by and large will have had enough of ebola and will just want it to go away. They will happily turn to race riots or ISIS with nary a glance back. I hope for all our sakes this is exactly what happens.

I'm not old enough to be this cynical.

What is worse. Ebola or the sheep that believes in the lies the CDC reports. Maybe a sheep's attitude in that they won't contract Ebola.

Remember my thread about Nancy Writebol if she did or not have Ebola when she claimed she never threw up. But she admitted and tested positive for Malaria though.

I still believe she did have Malaria but she did NOT have Ebola.

Yup, I live amongst many with this attitude. They'll get themselves and the rest of us killed (or 70-90% of us at least).

I've also been wondering lately if Duncan did not, in fact, have ebola and that some other scam is being run on us.

If no deputies or EMT's contract it (and thank goodness if they don't), what is really going on?

I think there is some time left on the 21-day window, however.

That's the question that's bothering me the most.......how could no memeber of Duncan's family NOT have ebola due to the close contact they had with him?

Absolutely. My mom was taken to the hospital last night in an ambulance. Her symptoms were diarrhea, vomiting and accelerated heart rate. Memphis area. The FIRST thing they did was take away her cell phone (citing theft). By comparison-my boyfriend was in the ER in Dallas Sept 24th...taken by ambulance and had his shirt cut off. They did NOT take HIS cell phone.

What's the difference?? (besides states).....

Duncan wasn't dx'd until the 25th. Perhaps protocols changed so that people CAN'T communicate...

The "officer" not positive thread was locked...but I'm STILL asking the question. HOW could they have cleared him less than 24 hours after he was admitted??

Why did they chose to use the word "embargo" for the word "restriction" in their tweets?

"Embargo" is a common term in the media. It means that a story is to be released at a given time, so everyone releases it at the same time. It's a system built on trust - the releasing agency tells the news services at what time it can be put out to the public, and the news services respect that because otherwise they'll be cut out of future stories.

If you note the circled embargo notice, it doesn't say "embargo forever", it says "embargo until ...". The story is there for the news service to pick up, to incorporate into a story, to assign to a reporter, to edit, to expand on, to wax lyrical over. But it's not to be released to the public until the embargo time.

It's not a 1984 reality-rewrite, it's a common mechanism so that news services don't have to worry about being scooped. Happens all the time, and it's not considered nefarious or under-handed. It's like running a race - it's considered good form for everyone to start running at the same time.

I'm not surprised.

I posted this on the 5th about AP shushing their reporters.

I would expect the CDC/gov to be worse/more paranoid and controlling.

AP to staff: Exercise caution over reports of suspected Ebola cases

avatar by Sam Kirkland Published Oct. 3, 2014 2:12 pm Updated Oct. 3, 2014 2:18 pm

Associated Press

The AP has issued guidance to its staff on how to report on and refer to two viruses in the news: Ebola and enterovirus.

Regarding Ebola, the AP explains:

Often the fact of an unconfirmed case isn’t worth a story at all. On several occasions already, in the U.S. and abroad, we have decided not to report suspected cases. We’ve just stayed in touch with authorities to monitor the situation.

Many news outlets today are reporting on a patient in Washington, D.C., who is “presenting symptoms that could be associated with Ebola.” But the AP notes:

In the United States, the CDC has — as of now — received about 100 inquiries from states about illnesses that initially were suspected to be Ebola, but after taking travel histories and doing some other work, were determined not to be. Of 15 people who actually underwent testing, only one — the Dallas patient — has tested positive.

Meanwhile, enterovirus is “not a disease that must be reported, and only very sick patients may be tested for it.”

The AP’s post also explains why “enterovirus” isn’t capitalized, but “Ebola virus” is. Poynter’s Kristen Hare addressed that style point on Wednesday — and explained how to pronounce “Ebola,” too.

I started a thread about an early October poll that showed 25 percent of the American people thought Ebola was a "serious threat." The sheeple are starting to wake up, which is why the CDC is in full information denial mode.

Sorry gang, if the Duncan family doesn't show up, alive and in good health by Halloween, the Republicans will use it to hammer the Democrats in the elections. Ebola and border security are starting to have an impact on the Sheeple.

The Sheeple are ignorant, but not stupid. There is a big difference between the two. You are failing to take into account the Soccer Moms who are totally focused on any threat to their families and way of life. The 25 percent poll numbers show they are starting to factor in Ebola despite Mainstream media and CDC info control efforts.

They want people at the voting booth.

A National Security Letter will shut everyone that sees it, up. You can not even say one exists and you saw it. Not without doing jail time.

Voting booths would make a nice disease vector.

Why have we not seen the Emergency Action Plan for this? I know one exists because I sat on many Emergency Management Planning groups and I know these are covered in the written plan.

Can they keep new cases quiet for another 24 days? This I doubt.

The National Security Letter will be issued under the thought that folks in a panic will not go to work and clean out the stores and shelter in place, That will dump the economy and be a threat to National Security. Some military people might even go AWOL to with the family.

Expect disinformation, half truths and out right lies.
After all it is is for our own good.

Anyone on shelter watch to let us know when they head for the .gov shelters?
