Any feedback on walmart brand canning lids? Seen plenty of them in the store and was wondering. Posted on the pandemic canning thread but no response. I should jave posted the question here

No trouble sealing ... beyond normal anyway. LOL. But I use them on things that I rotate within 18 months. I save my Ball leads for extremely acidic things (chili, tomato juice, spaghetti sauce, etc) and things that I know will go 18+ months out.

Talked to my Amish story they've been told not to expect to see them back instock till next March. WalMart and Target get first dibs.

Just found some lids at Tractor Supply today.
The lady in front of me got all the wide mouth lids.
There were Ball regular lids and I took 4 pkgs and left 4 for the next person.
I found them by looking up Ball lids available for store pickup.

I'm glad we stocked up long ago and when we do canning the next trip to town I alway try to remember to grab some replacement lids and end up buying a few extra each time so the stock pile of lids kept growing.

At first when we started setting up for canning back in 1994 we only had what was needed and a year later decided to invest in lids and bought a case of each wide and regular at this point we have close to two cases of each size.
To say the lest we are good to go for a while.
