SCAM Cabine Society

Wife just apprised me of a business being touted on FB called the Cabine Society. Per their own description:

We are an official partner of Walmart and provide snack products for Walmart. We are also responsible for selling its inventory of snack items on clearance.
A quick check says they are too good to be true. They look like they are set up to attract preppers, with Keystone and other canned meats at totally outstanding prices, 2020-packed MREs for $35/case of 12, Survival Cave, Yoders and 'Survival Fresh' (never heard of them myself) canned meats, and Future Essentials freeze dried cheeses. All of these are at prices that make you want to run up your card while they have any stock left.

Here's the rub:

The chances of it being a scam site are really high. Here is what Evensinsight has to say about them:

I am a big fan of Pendleton goods. Recently an ad popped up on Facebook for an online store with incredible prices for Pendleton goods. I couldn't believe the great prices and put 5 things in the shopping basket until I thought, wait, too good to be true! Then I deleted my purchases and left the site. In the next two days three or four more different online stores supposedly selling Pendleton stuff popped up on Facebook, but I didn't open them. I figured they were probably Chinese sites. Then I got an email from Pendleton, which apparently considers me a good customer, about not falling for bogus sites supposedly selling their goods, so suppose the crooks were concentrating on falsely representing their stuff.

They almost got me with something I personally really like and really cheap prices. What stopped me was the fact that the prices were TOO good. $60 for a normally $280 bedspread, etc. Even second quality goods with sewing errors, etc., don't sell that cheap in their bargain section at their mill!

I am now doubly warned to remember the old adage, if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't!

Thanks for the heads up; haven't run across them yet but I've got such a hate on for unsolicited advertising, I've got my filters screwed down pretty tight.

Fills up the Spam folder pretty quick, then auto-delete.
