RT 20 minutes

July 23rd…Everything is tied together…Shortages are getting worse

I think this is the boots that said a GA power company worker said their coal supply is down to a months worth, when it use to be 3-4 years worth.

I reckon GA Power wants to pull the plug early.
I heard that GA wants to goto all solar by 2028.

And if they pull the plug early before that infrustructure is put into place...

I dont think any commercial power company is going to have 3-4 years of fuel supply. Prior to deregulation they were required to keep 30 days. Once that happened they usually kept a week or two tops. Too much money tied up in it. Maybe that had a 3-4 year supply contract but not physical coal.

And while this isn't from Southern Prepper1, Patera from Appalachia's Homestead is saying pretty much the same thing:

I like her. Have only watched a few of her videos but if I didn’t feel like I knew what I was doing prep wise I’d be a subscriber. I like her spunk!

This is my own boots on the ground.
A patient told me she went to whole foods and bought a few items. When she got home her husband noticed that she had spent 9 dollars for a loaf of bread. I told her I have started to make my own bread. I bought a few hundred pounds of whole wheat from a local farmer. They are all out now.
Our work is eliminating positions if you work less then 30 hours a week. I work 30 hours but often am done and only get 9 hours. So I had to pick up another day to keep my benifits. I was enjoying a 3 day work week.
Our work changed our Holliday pay from 10 hours to 8 hours.
I went to a local Safeway to pick up some soda for my husband. He likes Sunkist diet orange soda. It was "on sale" for six dollars for 12 sodas. I just could not do it.

I listen to Southernprepper1 and Patara every day and sometimes get hubby to listen too. Today he went shopping while I was working the market and bought extra of several items that we already bought a stock of. He said that every time he listens to one of my videos he feels like he needs to buy more food. :lkick: It was fine with me. :D

Cary and I do our shopping together. He's usually throwing food into the shopping cart as fast as I am. Yeah, he listens, too!

Wow! Patera and Dave (Southerprepper1) are the 2 must watch preppers that my wife and I always watch together. We are now adding in some Goshen Prepping videos here and there. Canadian Prepper is too "doomy" for my wife, but I watch. After watching, we are ready to head out and buy more canned goods...lol!

This man's reports scare the crap out of me, mainly because he is correct.

I have been buying Barilla pasta and sauce online. Divided my orders between Amazon and Walmart depending who is in stock and their prices.

Some of the existing inventory is priced at "old" prices while newer replacement items are substantially higher or even in the dreaded "out of stock" status.

Dave's reports scare me because he is ex-military and has seen the elephant. No BS- the straight up unvarnished truth. It gets bad enough, (((they))) will de-platorm him. These reports are invaluable. He is killing himself getting the work done. The dark circles under his eyes didn't used to be there. I pray for him daily.

I do not believe that "all solar" is possible at this time
I will tell you that I live in the middle GA area and there are over 3000 acres (probably closer to 5000 acres) of solar panels within a 45 minute drive of my location

There is a huge solar farm out in the sticks, not too far from here. (S GA)

Didnt know it was there until we drove by it one day.

Makes you wonder how many more are in GA.

i do caffeine free diet soda. Sav-a-lot is not nationwide but there is one near me. They always have it in stock at half the price of everyone else. House brand. Nowhere else is close to price and consistent in stock.

Folks worry about Bill Gates buying up farmland. I drive all over North Carolina and see crazy amounts of farmland turned into solar farms. At some point, this has to affect the food growing capacity of our nation.

Dave's reports are some of the only "real news" available these days. These reports definitely connect the dots and point to a very difficult future.

Solar is all fine and well; there's no reason we shouldn't be putting rooftops to work generating power. But solar by itself just can't do the job of coal, oil, and nuclear. It can take some of the weight off them. It makes a fantastic backup system. Right now, though, it's just not ENOUGH.

And all of them just waiting for one of Georgia's legendary hailstorms to George Webb Telescope them into unworkable pieces of junk and lost money. Man plans; God laughs.

This is from FB, wasn’t sure where it would fit the best, honestly.

OPEN SOURCE INTEL: I’d posted to @iceagefarmer that I’d received many reports of poor germination and other issues from corporate seed sources, and asked people to share what they were seeing.
Over 700 people replied. Here is a summary; huge thanks to Kate B. for reviewing, compiling, and sharing. It paints an interesting picture of a uniquely difficult season. Original thread here. (How's your garden doing?)

Just been through about 700+ comments from the US, Canada, Europe, UK, Sweden, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and beyond:
a) seeds are showing poor germination from a wide range of suppliers
b) those that do germinate and start to grow are doing so i) slower than usual OR ii) are getting so far in their growth then dying (a bit like Tesco's herbs unless you transplant into fresh earth!) OR iii) are growing well but producing greenery not edible produce, so poor yields
c) suspicion is also falling on contaminated bagged compost -- many reports of issues here, some discussion around Grazon contamination
d) in addition, folks are noticing that store bought veg & fruit is not lasting, plus some is rotten on opening although firm externally
e) suggestions also being made about soil alkalinity from chemtrails inhibiting growth
f) some people raising animals are getting all male babies [!?]
g) sunflowers & other plants are being burnt up by the sun's rays
h) there is poor growth/yield from fruit trees
j) plentiful complaints from folks that have been growing for 25-40 years that things just aren't right with a degree of confusion as to the source
k) livestock feed prices are skyrocketing
l) many sick & dead animals around this year & dead birds found daily (Italy)
m) too hot/ too dry/ no rain/ storms/ erratic weather with false forecasting
n) absence of bees for pollination
p) cold nights inhibiting growth
q) abundance of pests & bugs at levels not seen before
r) zucchini with zero female flowers
s) blatant chemtrail spraying with some warning of "cancer in the ground for gardeners",
t) healthy hens stopping laying
u) pullets dropping dead at 6 months with no obvious cause
v) cooler spring so plants are a month behind
w) hard to get the cows/goats back in calf
x) change in taste of store bought veg/fruit
y) salads are going straight to seed and bolting
z) overall poor germination & growth - a weird growing year,
Common phrase: "Never seen anything like it in 30 years"
