What video are you talking about----I had a 97 540 for years and did all repairs myself but dont knwo exactly what youare talkign about or if it is an option I did not have----
Ever need to know just about anythign else I can probably hep you---that damn car was way to expensive to have a shop do repairs when most anythign on it is fairly easy to replace

My car has the gps option/tv/computer display as part of the front console. It is starting to have problems starting, I need to turn the key sometimes 2-3 times to get it to start. My led display under the speedometer is also starting to go out, some light come and go.

Well, that display will set you back $500 or so (the led one--mine gradually faded away, but iit is pretty easy to replace)
THe other display---try resetting the computer---you hold in both buttons below the guages until you hit a number and when "unlock"comes up you enter the last 4 #'s of your vin to unlock---(it was 19 plus my vin on mine---not sure about the 740, but that info is pretty easy to find online)
Yeah, the 540 was basically my fave too(for a car) and the only car I ever felt really comfortable driving more than 120mph ---gotta love being at 135 and knowing you've got plenty more room.
