O'Rourke thought this was a good idea? Really?

Styx reports: O'Rourke shows up at Uvalde presser providing information to grieving parents on the shooting. He attempts to make it all about himself and rack up virtue signaling brownie points for the gun control contingent and gets escorted out by LE. Bad optics all around and that this will hurt his future pollical efforts.

Fair use.

What a dork.

Beto the Irish Mexican. Or is that Mexican Irishman?

He provided quite a contrast with Abbott. Not a favorable one for Beto.

Of course, had someone crashed Beto's or Biden’s talk in the same way, it'd be an "assault on democraceh" that we'd barely survive.

...this brought to mind an event that happened almost regularly back when he was running for president. The image of a grizzled little Irish nun waving her yardstick at him and bellowing "ROBERT FRANCIS O'ROURKE!" before taking him to task over his latest idiotic gaffe. This one would be a doozy for poor Sister Mary Heffalump of Our Lady of the Bleeding Knees.

Honestly, it was hilarious back then, and it's a welcome return today. It's a shame it had to come at such a cost.

I heard the tapes of that press conference on my way home from work last night. Our local WIBC radio played the brief episode of him yelling and cussing.
He sounded like a total loon.

Gee, I wonder why?

And yet was considered a viable candidate (by at least a few) for the Office of President.

Unfreakinbelievable.

A prayer for a Narcissist. Thought it appropriate for the thread.

The Narcissist's Prayer
That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.

I get the feeling that those who follow the occasional cortex probably cheered him and consider him a hero. I know, it's beyond understanding for the normal individual, but the people on the other side are anything but normal. Evil? Crazy? Stupid? Yep, but they are not normal.

Glenn Beck Calls Teenage Beto O'Rourke' The 'Ultimate Red Flag' After Writings Emerge About Murdering Children - Big League Politics
Bo Banks

Texas Democratic gubernatorial nominee Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke wants gun control. And has demanded action “now” in the wake of the tragic shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday.

In his latest publicity stunt, O’Rourke heckled Governor Greg Abbott during a presser on the shooting. “You want a solution? Stop selling AR-15s in the state of Texas. You want a solution? Have universal background checks. We don’t have them. You want a solution? Red flag laws or extreme risk protection orders, which stop a shooting before it happens,” he said after being escorted out.

The whole debacle was so tasteless and out-of-line that Uvalde Mayor Don Mclaughlin infamously called O’Rourke a “sick son of a b****.”

O’Rourke, like other Democrats including Joe Biden, is standing on the tragic deaths of 19 children to advance their own pro-gun law political agendas. Perhaps most notably, they demand “red flag” laws, which would empower courts to strip guns away from “potentially dangerous” people.

Glenn Beck is having none of this “righteous indignation.” As resurfaced writings by a teenage O’Rourke include hacking, overthrowing the government, and murdering children by running over them with his car.

In other words, writings that would qualify O’Rourke as the “ultimate red flag for any red flag law.”

The following excerpt from 15-year O’Rourke (confirmed by Reuters) was read by Beck and Stu Burguiere on their radio program on Thursday:

[O]ne day, as I was driving home from work, I noticed two children crossing the street. They were happy, happy to be free from their troubles. I knew, however, that this happiness and sense of freedom were much too overwhelming for them. This happiness was mine by right. I had earned it in my dreams.

As I neared the young ones, I put all my weight on my right foot, keeping the accelerator pedal on the floor until I heard the crashing of the two children on the hood, and then the sharp cry of pain from one of the two. I was so fascinated for a moment, that when after I had stopped my vehicle, I just sat in a daze, sweet visions filling my head.

“Dangerous, right? Nothing good’s going to come of this,” Glenn said. “The state of Texas should be very aware and not allow [O’Rourke] to buy a gun because of this. This guy, this guy, and his righteous indignation — give it a rest, bud. Give it a rest.”

This isn’t the first time O’Rourke’s weird teenage writings have come back to haunt him. As they routinely expose him as the hypocrite he is while showcasing just how ineffective the pro-gun law political agendas he is pushing for would actually be.

Neither here nor there.

He shouldn't be allowed to own any weapons including vehicles!
