I could care less about the NFL, but the implications of this are really horrifying - next, if you are not vaccinated and your employer is shut down, will you not be paid, your co-workers not be paid, will there be a lien put on your home by your now "former" employer to cover "the damages?"...

Husband's company has already required all employees to show proof of vaccines. They tried to pressure him and he told them in no uncertain term that he would not be getting the vaccine. They made an exception for him but multiple other people tried to get exemptions and they refused and everyone else finally got it. He alone is required to wear a mask in the building except when in his office with the door closed. When he walks into a meeting everyone in the meeting is also required to mask up. They are more afraid of someone catching Covid and suing than someone suing for requiring the jabs.

Maybe so. I was just wondering if we had that to look forward to in the near future. There are still stores in town that require masks to enter.

Menard's, for a while, was on the "vaccinated need no masks but unvaccinated do" kick. The end result? Almost no one wore masks. Menard's made it clear from go that everyone was on the honor system; they actually USED the term "honor system." What they didn't--and probably still don't--understand was those who were vaccinated would go through like normal. Those who weren't considered it greater honor to be UNvaccinated.

Cards might be faked, but our state has a vaccine registry :eek: , and I have to wonder if at some point that database might be made accessible to the public.

That last statement is probably where this goes.
The government and media can pressure, but let the lawyers start floating liability cases against those selfish, dangerous unvaxed, or the companies who employ them, and things will change quickly.

And they will make it look cool and fun so that everyone wants the vax.

But why should anything bad happen to the NFL if players don't get paid? The players should be eternally grateful and happy with the NFL because the Negro National Anthem is going to be played at every game.

Again I could care less about the NFL, never been into sports or football (either sort) but the implications of this could be massive if it starts a trend and I think it might.

We already know that OSHA was forced after 24 hours to violate decades of workman's compensation law and pretty much say that employers could enforce experimental vaccine mandates on their employees though they were rather vague about responsibility if an employee suffered a severe or fatal reaction.

As someone who used to work in Worker's Compensation oversight, I can't tell you how HUGE that one was.

So again, I could care less what a bunch of ways over-paid athletes and their managers/owners may experience in terms of a pay cut or forfeited games. But I care a lot about the direction this trend may be going and it also suggests that the Powers that Be are over-the-top desperate.

Many athletes are reluctant to take the mRNA vaccines because of the reported (and potentially career-killing) side effects from heart problems to neurological ones. For young and very fit people, they may very well feel the risks from COVID are a lot less than from the mRNA vaccines themselves.

Of course. The so called vaccines don’t work. But...the authorities are moving Heaven and Earth to get everyone to take them. Ask yourself why. My conclusion is unspeakable evil. To what end is the question.
