We have a 380 sq. ft. custom made Nomad Tipi, which has never been out of the box it came in, unfortunately, due to health issues. I'll post some pics in a day or two (I'm not at home and won't be until Monday). It was custom made for us by the same folks who made the Tipis for Dances With Wolves and The Last Samurai. It comes with a few extras, such as a couple of full-sized (brand new) woolen rugs, and the native design both inside and out is visually stunning. You can live in this Tipi year round - even in Canada.
We paid over $4,000 U.S. and we're letting it go for $2,500 firm. It will accommodate a family of six comfortably for full-time living. (Will also consider selling our top-of-the-line Pacific Energy wood stove, which we had planned to heat the Tipi with, and it's great for cooking and light at night (it has a brass-trimmed tempered glass door). It retails for circa $7,000 new, and our asking price is $2,500 firm. It's in excellent condition, has a fully insulated chimney, and is capable of heating a 3,000 sq. ft. cabin.)
We were planning to add a half-loft, which I can explain how to do if you're interested, to add another 180 sq. ft. on to our living space. I like space, and our Tipi is nothing if not spacious, but due to an accident we can't cut firewood anymore, so we opted for an RV instead.
I still dream of living in our Tipi though, and would like to see it go to someone who'll fall in love with it.
