Arizona gov begins sealing gaps in border wall with shipping containers topped with razor wire
Adam Shaw

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey on Thursday issued an executive order to fill gaps in the border wall in Yuma with shipping containers topped with razor wire, saying that the state "can’t wait any longer."
Ducey signed an order that directs the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs to fill gaps in the border wall in the Yuma sector — where there has been a significant increase in migrant encounters in particular.

The construction, which began hours later, consists of 60 double-stacked shipping containers, welded shut and topped with four feet of razor wire. His office said that it is 22 feet tall and weighs nearly 9,000 lbs.
"Arizona has had enough," Ducey said in a statement. "We can’t wait any longer.

Ducey went on to blame the Biden administration’s "lack of urgency on border security," calling it a "dereliction of duty."
"For the last two years, Arizona has made every attempt to work with Washington to address the crisis on our border. Time and time again we’ve stepped in to clean up their mess. Arizonans can’t wait any longer for the federal government to deliver on their delayed promises," he said.
Ducey’s office said that the project is expected to be completed over the weekend.

There have been more than 200,000 migrant encounters along the southern border in each of the last four months. Recent data obtained by Fox News show that Yuma Sector has seen a 242% increase in encounters so far this fiscal
year compared to last year.

Ducey’s office said that nonprofits in Yuma County have been overwhelmed, with capacity ranging from 115%-160%. The move was welcomed by Yuma Mayor Doug Nicholls.

"Yuma has experienced the worst of the border crisis. We’re grateful to Governor Ducey for ingraining himself in this issue and finding solutions," said Nicholls.

The plugging of the gaps is separate from a move announced last month by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to close four border wall gaps in Yuma — this time at Morelos Dam. The move came after Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., had pushed for the Biden administration to close those gaps.

"This is a step forward and I’ll keep working to ensure that Arizona has the tools needed for a secure and orderly process at the border including fencing and barriers where they make sense," Kelly said in a statement.

The Trump administration began construction of a border wall to combat illegal migration, building over 450 miles. However, the project was immediately halted by the Biden administration, leaving yawning gaps in the wall through which migrants have entered the U.S.

Since canceling the contracts, the administration has been wracked by massive migrant numbers that have overwhelmed border communities and caused a major political headache for the White House. DHS said it will address environment damage caused by the wall and fill some remaining gaps.

I wonder how fast you can dig a 10 foot long tunnel under them in the dirt? Or if they are securing the razor wire to the top using the 4 corner post connectors on each CONEX box? Otherwise someone could come alone, toss up a rope with a hook or two on the end, and pull the razor wire off.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I want a secure border, but I'm wondering how much of a border this actually would be with either someone with a trenching tool, a few shovels, or even someone with a shovel, a truck with an inverter and a shop vac to pull the dirt out real quickly.

ETA: Or for that matter, one chain to the top, from a front bumper of a truck, and pull it over on its side so it is now laying in Mexico. Now you can easily remove the razor wire and you only have an 8 foot box to crawl over...

They also need to think about the cartels using the tops of them as shooting platforms...

What is going to stop the cartels or anyone from cutting holes on the mexican side, so people can hide in them unseen, then cutting or torching holes to get out on the US side?

Doesn't matter. It's all about the optics. Looks good to those who don't have an inquiring mind.

"We're taking steps" beats "We haven't addressed this yet" in the arena of public disclosure.

Besides - someone "connected" either owns those containers, rents those containers, or benefits from a shortage of containers AS containers.

"We're sorry. Due to the border wall reinforcement there is now a shortage of containers and we're doubling our rental cost."

Plus Buttigieg gets yet another "get out of jail free" card handed to him.

"We can't address the supply side shortages until the shipping container shortage is resolved."

Ducey is the one who made the claim:

There will be no decertification of the 2020 election — the audit does not call for one, and even if it had, there is no lawful way to decertify. As we have every step of the way, Arizona will follow the law.

Not true and spoken as a true "Never-Trumper."

Tannerite. We can also razor wire our side. Gopher holes should be dusted with an irritant like cyanide.

Just think thought ... it will be finished in a weekend. A WEEKEND. That must include the land prep for the foundation. And bolt those puppies together so they can't be pushed over like plastic baby blocks. Light 'em up with solar powered motion detectors.

Most of the coyotes will just transfer to another entrance of less resistance.

Let's Go Brandon!
Until the incentives are stopped, for the illegal aliens to come to the ZUSA, nothing else is going to stop them, NOTHING.

Mexico is already here, probably 75% or more of
the Mexican population has been here for decades.
Its the OTM that are now invading.

Stop the bennies, that will at least slow the invasion
down enough, so that rigid law enforcement can
at least manage it.

A good portion of the illegals, are now being flown in.

The ZUSA is over, done, stick a fork in it,
having ended in November 2008, and there is no
going back, not going to happen. Only session of
the RED states, and a formation of a new republic,
will allow some peoples to have a better life.

Southern half of California, all of Arizona and
New Mexico being returned to Mexico via
The Reconquista, and Northern California,
east Oregon and east Washington, into the
new state of Jefferson. Western Oregon and
western Washington state, given to Canada.

That's it.

Please be safe everyone.

Regards to all.

AZ Governor Mulls Response to Biden Admin's Order to Remove Border Barriers

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey (R) is weighing options before responding to an order from the Biden Administration to remove shipping containers from the Mexican border. The governor ordered the barriers along gaps in existing border walls earlier this year.
The U.S. Department of the Interior wrote a letter to Governor Ducey, demanding the removal of double-stacked shipping containers placed on federal land near Yuma. The letter also demanded no new containers be placed, the Associate Press reported.

A spokesman for the governor’s office told the Washington Examiner the state is considering its response to the letter.
“As for the letter, we question their legal analysis and we are looking at our options,” Arizona Governor’s Communication Director C.J. Karamargin told the DC news outlet. “It took the feds since August to write a letter? If this is any indication of their sense of urgency, then perhaps that explains the problem we’re having.”

In mid-August, state contractors began placing more than 3,000 double-stacked shipping containers to fill gaps in the Arizona border with Mexico left by Biden’s inauguration day order to stop the building of barriers, Breitbart Texas reported.

“Inaction by President Joe Biden has led to the worst border crisis in over 20 years,” Governor Ducey said in a signing letter in June. ” We’ve taken numerous steps to help resolve the chaos, including deploying the Arizona National Guard, signing legislation to address human smuggling, and transporting migrants on a voluntary basis to Washington, D.C.”
The Biden Administration eventually responded in a letter saying, “The unauthorized placement of those containers constitutes a violation of federal law and is a trespass against the United States. That trespass is harming federal lands and resources and impeding [the Bureau of] Reclamation’s ability to perform its mission.”

Nearly 310,000 migrants crossed the border from Mexico into the Yuma Sector in FY22, according to an unofficial Border Patrol report reviewed by Breitbart Texas. Another nearly 252,000 entered through the Tucson Sector.
In November 2021, Breitbart Texas’ Randy Clark reported large groups of migrants entering the Yuma Sector through gaps in border walls.

“The statistics show Yuma’s apprehension increase in October 2021 is 2,647 percent over October 2020,” Clark wrote. “According to CBP, Yuma is closely trailing the Del Rio Sector by a mere 6,488 apprehensions for the month.”
In response to the gaps and increasing migrant crossings in southwestern Arizona, Governor Ducey wrote to the Biden Administration, saying, “Ultimately, however, securing our border is the responsibility of the federal government. With this investment, we are giving our law enforcement professionals another critical resource they need to successfully do their jobs. We are standing up for the rule of law, and we are cementing Arizona’s commitment to securing our state and our entire nation.”

The construction of the border barriers was funded by a $564 million spending bill passed by the state legislature.
Building the barriers forced more migrant crossings into the Cocopah Reservation when they could not get past the container cars stacked along the border, the Examiner reported.
“We believe the Bureau is taking the necessary and appropriate action to resolve this issue,” the Cocopah tribe wrote in a statement issued Monday regarding the order by the Biden administration to remove the containers. “Beyond that, we will continue working side-by-side with local, state and federal law enforcement on securing the border.”

its the under that they need to take care of now.
Use vitrification--make the soil glass down 20-30 feet similar to what they do to sequester wastes to keep them from migrating...really tough and dangerous to tunnel through glass! Sheet piles might also work for low depth tunnel prevention and work as a wall. Just thinking outside the conex box! LoL

They could secure the border in a matter of days. Three or four rows of concertina wire deployed at twenty miles an hour. Then, some land mines in between. A scissor tower every quarter mile with look outs and cameras. Fast interception teams every five miles....hunky dory. The national guard needs a mission, this should of been it. But pipe dreams are the norm these days.

The Federal Government and some State Governments are busing and flying at TAXPAYER EXPENSE ILLEGALS all over the lower 48 states. We are relocating ILLEGALS. If we can afford to fly ILLEGALS from Texas to New York or East Cow Pie Georgia, why in hell can't we fly them OUT OF THE COUNTRY?

When you answer that question, you will understand why shipping containers and barbed wire and all the rest are simply window dressing. If we wanted it stopped, it would be stopped. Clearly the criminals in the White House, the Senate, the House of Representatives, the Department of Justice and all their appendages, the State Governors, the local Sheriffs and police have no interest in stopping this influx. NONE. If they wanted it stopped, it would be stopped. You will not come ashore on this side of the border. STOP. In Spanish, English, Hebrew, Farsi, whatever it takes. If they do make it, ship them back. If we can afford to keep them here, we can afford to send them back.

You would think that would be an impeachable offense, wouldn't you?
I'm not sure DNC wants go there just now.

Depending what Nov does to correct the seating imbalances in Congress, the Dems might get all self righteous come Jan 2023.

If there's impeachable activities extant today, I don't think they involve Ducey.

Mr Pudding Cup is another matter.

That is the intention - a low-cost, fast way to put something up that gives just enough trouble to "move'em on down" into someone else's problem.

Rapid movement by grown men with weapons and a shoot to kill order was all we needed.

America is no more because of "words", the stupid still call these invaders 'migrants'.

When there is no fuel next year for your car or anything else, their army of strange flesh will make war on all of us while the little Lords farting through silk sip their fine wine and laugh at our calamity.

Too bad there will be no internet for the brave folks to talk about the issue.

IN a nutshell. The invasion was a success, next is to deploy. We are so hosed, all due to those in DC, and all their fellow travellers, with emphasis on those at the university level. They paved the way.

Education is the motor force of revolution, said Bill Ayers. The man who gave us Obama, who went on to the highest entity in curriculum that covers pre k to post grad. Subversion, fifth column...yes and yes. The brainwashing by the political pedophiles in the university system is quite remarkable....what's not remarkable is where it is leading us......tens of millions murdered by the incoming communist world order, in this nation alone.

It will be in the billions worldwide. Omicron part deux, or any other pandemic of their choosing, is more than likely. Butt ugly is on the horizon, could take many forms....imagine that, or not if eye bleach is not on hand.

Container wall construction at border resumes Monday morning

The state intends to fill gaps in the border wall south of Sierra Vista

SIERRA VISTA, AZ — Arizona Governor Doug Ducey's administration resumed building its container wall along the Arizona-Mexico border.

Construction started in Cochise County Monday morning. The state intends to fill gaps in the border wall south of Sierra Vista.

Last week, the Bureau of Reclamation sent a letter to the state telling it to take down the wall it constructed near Yuma.
The Bureau of Reclamation says contractors are preparing to build a mesh fence barrier in its place in early 2023.

On Friday, Arizona responded to the letter with a lawsuit against the Biden administration.

It's asking a federal court to strip the federal government of its claim to 60 feet of land along the border known as the Roosevelt Reservation. The state claims it should have jurisdiction.
