Amerika - As I Have Been Saying --Sarah Palin Will Be President - In God's Plan IMHO

I really like Sarah Palin, and basically agree with her politics and religion. Dennis, this is a great description of her role and strengths, and I hope she sticks with it and doesn't hold back. But for all the reasons you stated I too hope she doesn't run for president, and I would add that I don't think she's really ready/qualified. She tends to be sort of a loose cannon, which is fine for her current role but not for president. I was disappointed to see that after she resigned as governor, instead of buckling down and using that time to fill in her gaps (foreign policy, law, etc.), she just ran around talking & having a good time. I really think (and this is spoken kindly as I am also) she's too ADD to be president...LOL!

We need a statesman for president, and I'm not sure if there are any left.

(sort of OT: why does Greta Van S. call her "Governor Palin"? Is that standard? Seems like I've heard "ex-Governor"; we say "ex-" for presidents, don't we? Just wondering....)

She's a little too goofy for my taste.

And there's something else there that I can't quite put my finger on, but it makes me uneasy about her.

Neither here nor there.

She doesn't assume that you can't think for yourself and this comes off as dead space on her part, I know a couple of libs locally that pointed this out and she really irks people because of this, apparently most folks prefer to be led around by the nose all of the time.

And she also appears to be madly in love with the sound of her own voice.

Personally, I find her voice to be one of her most off-putting attributes.

Hey Kent, just because you think she's hot, doesn't mean she's smart.:screw:

She didn't bone up for the 2008 election because she wasn't smart enough to. Just another journalism/communications major with white teeth, big breasts and a big ego who grabbed national attention and then made a career out of gullible neocon sheep.

Listen to her with audio only (no picture) sometime. There's a reason the Republicrats didn't let her speak; she sounds like an extra from Fargo.

I tend to agree with this analysis. Shame though, I think she would have done a fine job.

First, I think Palin is perfect in the role she currently occupies, as the "American minority whip" if you will. In this role, which is OUTSIDE politics, she's free to say exactly what's on her mind, and exactly what conservatives want and need to hear to buoy them up in these troubling times. In effect, she's a female version of Limbaugh, but one that isn't full of herself or trapped being a media mouthpiece. She has assumed an almost Ron Paul-esque "calling out in the wilderness" role, except that far more people listen to Palin than do to Paul.

All that being said, if she runs for president, her ability to speak freely will vanish. She'll have to play the same game all the other politician scum plays, which IMO would permanently destroy her credibility with the public, as they branded her a "sellout." Further, she is essentially unelectable. What makes me say that? Because the liberal scum all over the country would have their collective head explode. They would do ANYTHING IT TAKES to destroy her. And that includes assassination. Palin running for prez as a viable candidate would plunge the country into civil war IMO. IF you thought this last election was dirty and vile, it pales into a Sunday picnic in the park compared to what would happen should Palin run.

And were she to be elected, politicians on both sides would stonewall her to the point of total ineffectiveness. You see, Palin speaks to the common person AS a common person. Humble. Truthful. Straight from the heart. And that enrages TPTB as well as liberals. Could you even envision a poster where Palin has her chin raised, looking haughtily up toward the sky? Palin as president would look out for the common person, the person with true family values. And they'd kill her before they allowed that.

Standard protocol....You refer to the person by their highest office attained....thus references to "President Carter" or "President Clinton"

Best wishes to everyone for a happy New Year! In the coming days there will be a
great deal of debate about the goings-on in the political arena and the shenanigans in Washington. Constitutional commonsense conservatives must stay engaged and hold our “leaders” accountable to the voice of average everyday hard working Americans or we will very soon become an enslaved, bankrupt former nation of greatness. So, please keep the faith heading into this new year. And for now, remember to be grateful for the blessings and opportunities God has given us as independent individuals, as caring members of families, as honorable businesses and communities, and as countrymen who understand this most exceptional nation’s foundations of strength. We’ve been given all this for yet another year; let’s not take it for granted. In this new year, as jobs change with doors closing and opening, kids growing, relationships evolving, and life throwing curveballs, may you resolve to stay engaged and optimistic. May you pick your battles wisely. And may you live life vibrantly! God bless you all and God bless our great country as we promise to live out 2 Chronicles 7:14 Here’s to liberty!

If Sarah Palin runs for the GOP nomination in 2016, Democrats across the country will be praying that she wins the nomination of her party. Some will be tempted to cross over to support her as in Rush Limbaugh's aptly named 'Operation Kaos' that may have helped Barak Obama win the Democratic nomination over Hillary Clinton in 2008. IIRC, Obama was supposed to be the candidate easier to beat....
