Just wanted to let you all know I have a published book. You can find it on Amazon as well as some other sites. Adoption Combat Zone by Kathe Ray. It's a non-fiction true story of our family adopting four teenagers from Ukraine.

Published March 2018 and decent reviews. The one 1 star review was done by a nasty ex-friend who wanted to get a dig in. LOL

I read each review. I reported Amazon Customer for abuse. The person was not a verified purchaser. There are Reddit sub forums on foreign adoption and RAD. A dear friend of ours had a domestic foster adoption of a five years old. After eighteen months of sheer horror from the adopted child they had to fight to relinquish the child back to the state. The child tried multiple times to kill the parents and their bio child. Started fires in the home. The parent finally found out at the end of their time with the adopted child what severe trauma the little one had suffered prior to the adoption. She had absolutely no support from the adoption agency which willfully withheld the information on the bio parents abuse of the child and the child’s siblings, reports from the previous sixteen foster parents, the manipulative behaviors of the child. And demonization of her and her husband by the local adoptive parents support group because they had so much woe with the adoptive child and shunning of their family after they relinquished the chikd back to the state.

You can get that retracted by Amazon - I've seen it done.

Thank you. That happens so much more than most people think. People think adoption is all unicorns and rainbows. Actually that is what we thought going into it. I would guess that at least 75% of adoptions should never happen. The world needs to take a huge look at how we take care of our children. Once they get to the point of adoption most times they are too far gone and then you have an entire family in trauma instead of one child. It's so messed up.

I'm so sorry for your friend. Their story is common. I interviewed over 350 other families and their stories are in my book. Many are far worse than ours was. And you are correct, speaking up will get you harassed and worse.

Thank you for the report. She is not a verified purchaser because I gave her a copy of the book. She is one of those people who thought she could have done better than we did with the adoptees. Too many people are like her.

Hope it sells really well for you! Congrats.

Thank you. It has done pretty well so far. I sell quite a lot to the post-adoption community. One person recently bought a case and sent one to each member of the Utah legislature. I only wish it would get out more to the pre-adoption community. Those are who really need to read it.
