A LIttle Known Fact

In 88 years - 22 elections - my county has voted for the winner of the presidential election in 21 out of 22 elections! The only election we missed was in 1976 when the county voted for Gerald Ford, and Jimmy Carter won.

How unusual is this? Only 5 other counties in the country have voted for the presidential winner in every election since 1960.

Earlier this week the local newspaper asked the question....."Want to know who will win the presidential election.....ask your neighbor."

In yesterday's election.....we did it again! In California, a largely Democrat state, our county voted as follows: 51% for Bush; 48% for Kerry; 1% for others. :D
