Armenia refused to send forces to the CSTO exercises in Kazakhstan

Russia is officially acceptant of Armenia's decision but it reflects Yerevan's frustration with the CSTO's unwillingness to accept its calls for aid against Azerbaijan

I'm watching this, plus the brewing BW/Cappy scrappy on the Q thread, and also thinking about my kerfluffle with Raven earlier, and it is becoming obvious that some shit is going to hit some fan.

I for one do not wish to fight with my friends headed into potential Armageddon. YMMV.

A lot is occurring tomorrow. Annexation is expected to take place and the UNSC will meet in regards to the Nord Stream sabotage. Both are very serious jumping off points for a larger and global conflict. Stay vigilant and spend time with your loved ones if you can. -spook
I know we often don’t take things as seriously on my end of things. However, myself and other have for almost a year warned of the grave danger of the conflict in Ukraine. For months and months we were laughed at, called propagandists and relentlessly criticized.
Now we are staring down death at the end of the barrel. Can things unwind from the current nuclear death spiral we are in? Possibly. But we all have to remember that we are always one miscalculation, one wrong perception or one rogue political decision from catastrophe.
The more we fight back for what we believe we deserve, the closer we get to that catastrophe. I couldn’t begin imagine a full blown nuclear war but I can imagine a smaller scale nuclear war, more importantly I can easily see a massive scale conventional war.

LOL, you are surely the one who should know about never knowing when to STFU! Plus, you go to insults as soon as you lose the facts.

I had the "nerve"? Yep, any post can be critiqued on this board.

What a clueless entitled person you are. You responded to me and proceed to blame me for what YOU did.

How about you put me on ignore?

The thing that gets me is you felt sorry for those Russians. Do you even know what they are doing to Ukrainians over there? You must be a liberal.

If russia uses a nuke it will not be in the occupied and annexed territories. russia will nuke Kyiv and hope the winds carry the radiation into Poland. Of course this will trigger Article 5 of NATO and then all hell will break loose. Once anyone uses a nuke the taboo against using them is gone and of course NATO will use them against russia.

I wish everyone would remember that time is particularly precious at this juncture. I for one have a farm, fall harvest, a side gig/clients, plus "real" job, am a widow, tryin to take care of the small holding, lg house, many outbuildings, livestock plus stay up to date on news issues that actually, truly matter, with broken bones and scant time.

Reading things in the evening that have been posted dozens of times all day, having to shuffle thru endless one liner "cute" jokes on supposed news threads, hoax threads, and threads that merely rehash what we've already talked about already, ad nausuem, for DAYS and in particular, reading this unnecessary sniping about immaterial things between posters, does absolutely nothing to better improve my understanding or ability to cope with the upcoming, unprecedented geopolitical events unfolding on the horizon.

We have many many readers who turn to us for the news, and they have more obligations and no more hours in the day than I do... we need to bring our A games, this is going to be challenging enough as it is.

Oh Lordy, can you stop with the insults and carry on an actual conversation?

I don't give a rat's behind for either side. However, I am sick of wasting our resources and blood to other countries.

I don't see the death of anyone as laughable. I see them as tragic and sad as each death is a lose to those who loved them.

And each death is 100% laid at the feet of our communistic loving filth of the disgusting uni-party in Washington.

Fine then. Just don't snipe at me over stupid emojis. Last point: I don't see anyone's death as laughable. I told you what I was laughing at. It went over your head, I guess. Can you stop now?

Russian media is warning about the Ukrainization of Kazakhstan
This article in Tsargrad warns that Kazakhstan is trying to please the U.S. and is acting as a springboard for attacks on Russia and China instead of a trade intersection point between Asia and the West

Poland’s foreign minister, Zbigniew Rau, has said Nato’s response to any use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine should be non-nuclear but “devastating”.
Speaking on a visit to Washington, Rau said the alliance was in the process of delivering that message to Moscow. (The guardian)

Oreally

Right from the start
I would like someone with history bona fides to help me. Did not Russia originally make Russians go to Ukraine to break it up and make it more pliable. If Russians were forced the Ukes; I find their attempts to take back their enclaves more understandable. China is forcing Chinese into Nepal right now. Is that a similar situation.

an interesting analysis of who benefits the most from the Nordstream 1&2 incident, and discussion of assorted subjects such as the dangerous extent our "leader's party" is now wielding it's power both externaly and internally, as well as some general political talk. it is long, but an interesting listen.

When the number of aimpoints a single F-15E can service thanks to JDAMs, either loft tossed or the glider stand off variety after the SEAD/DEAD mission has been accomplished, that gets rather daunting in how "doable" that could be....

At least from my experience, bluffing tends to fail if you say you’re bluffing. But, hey, maybe Russia won’t notice the Newsweek article. Fingers crossed!

Brinksmanship is the number one rule of the Liberal playbook, because conservatives always back down.
It works for them every single time.

You are correct.

At the end of WWII, It was standard Communist practice "ethnically clean" portions of the newly occupied countries by shipping entire towns to Siberian work farms. Often babies were confiscated and raised as Russians to make up for their horrific war casualties. Those townspeople were replaced by Russian citizens. This applies to all of the countries occupied by Communist forces in WWII. Their is a special loathing of Russia in the Baltic countries.

Ukraine's ethnic cleansing predates WWII when Russia's failed collective farm program starved up to 10 million Ukrainian's to death.

In the early phase of the German invasion of Russia, German troops were welcomed by many Ukrainians.
