Colorado Confirms 3rd US Omicron Case, New York Counts Most New COVID Cases Since January

Update (1600ET): Just hours after officials in Minnesota confirmed the second case of omicron in the US, a local ABC affiliate reports that a third case of the omicron variant has been identified in Colorado.

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis announced Thursday that a case of the omicron variant of the coronavirus has been documented in his state.

"Just moments ago, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment confirmed the first Colorado case of the omicron variant," Polis said in a press conference. "It is somebody who just traveled to southern Africa and returned."

More details about the patient will likely be widely disseminated in the press.

Despite all the hype around the third confirmed case, Omicron is still a novelty, and few would deny that it's a long way from taking over (although, as we have previously explained, speculation that omicron is more mild than delta might mean that an omicron takeover would ultimately benefit the economy and markets). But whether it's being driven by omicron or not, it appears the winter surge that scientists have been bracing for since...last year's seasonal surge appears to have officially arrived.

To wit: New York state on Thursday reported the largest number of daily new cases since January. The Empire State counted 11,300 new COVID cases, the most since January, as dozens of hospitals report nearing capacity once again.

Total patients hospitalized for the virus in New York has increased by more than 1K in the span of a month, reaching 3.093K on Wednesday. As of Thursday, 56 hospitals in the state had a bed capacity of 10% or less, including Albany Medical Center Hospital, Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, according to the state health department. Gov. Kathy Hochul famously issued an executive order last week allowing state officials to limit non-essential hospital procedures in an effort to increase bed capacity and address staffing shortages. The order takes effect tomorrow.

There were also 49 deaths reported, bringing the state's total to 46,623.

Elsewhere, the US has confirmed a second case of the omicron variant in a traveler who recently visited New York City's Javits Center for an anime convention. He was confirmed to have the variant in Minnesota.

After teasing various aspects of his plan to protect Americans from the omciron variant (which is arriving at the start of the latest 'winter wave') while the CDC quietly collects names of travelers who recently visited southern Africa, President Joe Biden is preparing to share his plan, which will impose tighter restrictions on foreign travelers while extending a mask mandate and (potentially) double down on vaccine restrictions for American workers (even as multiple federal judges have rejected the mandate).

Biden's comments are expected later on Thursday, but during the early hours of the US session, Germany's outgoing Chancellor Angela Merkel and her successor, Olaf Scholz, agreed on a plan to effectively mandate vaccinations by imposing stringent restrictions on Germans who haven't voluntarily gotten the jab.

As governments scramble to use omicron as an excuse to crack down on the unvaccinated, makers of vaccines and COVID remedies have continued to share data about their products' efficacy at combating the omicron variant. And unsurprisingly, many of the big-name firms are saying they expect their jabs to "hold up" against the variant.

Despite Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel's market-rattling warnings that the first generation of mRNA vaccines - including Moderna's - might need to be retooled in order for them to protect against omicron, a senior Pfizer executive told Bloomberg that the company expects its jabs to offer significant protection against omicron, with more data expected in the coming weeks.

"We don’t expect that there will be a significant drop in effectiveness," Ralf Rene Reinert, vice president of vaccines for international developed markets, said in an interview with Bloomberg Television. "But again, this is speculation. We will check this. We will have the data in the next couple of weeks."

Pfizer has already started working on new versions of its vaccine twice, with the emergence of the beta and delta variants, and concluded both times that the original shot provided good protection, Reinert said. Now its scientists will evaluate whether that’s the case for omicron, Bloomberg reports.

"It’s not that we start from scratch," Reinert said. "We know what we have to do."

These reassurances have arrived at a critical time: on Wednesday afternoon, the US became the 29th country to identify a case of the omicron variant. A US traveler in the San Francisco area was identified as the first patient known to be infected with the new variant (though it's likely that many others have already been infected, since the variant has been detected in Europe more than two weeks ago).

The US has seen a slight uptick in new cases in recent weeks as the 'winter wave' appears to be starting.

And on the medical front, Pfizer isn't alone: GlaxoSmithKline said Thursday that its COVID antibody treatment looks to be effective against the new omicron variant in early tests.

Lab tests of the mutations found in the variant showed the drug is still active against the virus, Glaxo said in a statement on Thursday. GSK is now conducting in vitro experiments to confirm the response against a combination of all the omicron mutations.

As a result, Sotrovimab, the GSK antibody treatment, has been approved by the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency following a "rigorous" review of its safety.

Meanwhile, back in South Africa, scientists are tweaking their initial warnings about the variant.

One day after reporting a massive surge in new cases (which some dismissed as a quirk resulting from a change in how public health officials count positive cases), scientists for the Diseases Institute are saying that while they expect a surge in cases due to omicron, the intensity of infections should be markedly more mild. Above all, the scientists expect fewer active cases and hospitalizations during this wave.

Here are some additional omicron-related headlines from Thursday:

• Indian officials have seen mild cases in Omicron patients. India reported two cases of the variant.
• UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid announced the UK secured 54mln additional doses of the Pfizer (PFE) / BioNTech (BNTX) jabs and 60mln additional doses of the Moderna (MRNA) vaccine for the next two years which he said will help the UK to "buy time" with the new variant.
• South Korea's government is considering coronavirus measures including banning social gatherings and reducing business hours, while it was also reported that South Korea is considering halting its gradual return to normal life as COVID-19 infections rise and it also reported a fresh record daily increase in cases, as well as confirmed its first case of the Omicron variant.
• The Japanese government will temporarily invalidate special visas issued to foreign nationals who meet certain conditions in an effort to curb the spread of the Omicron variant.

Finally, President Biden is planning to include additional measures like forcing insurers to pay for at-home COVID tests as part of his plan for mitigating the 'winter wave' of COVID cases.

Private insurers already cover COVID tests administered in doctor’s offices and other medical facilities, but there are now at least eight at-home tests on the US market that can be used by individuals at home. Biden is scheduled to deliver remarks on his 'winter plan' beginning just before 1400ET on Thursday. He will be speaking from Bethesda, Maryland.

[COMMENT: Biden's voice sounds huskier - not quite like his usual voice]

Biden said in his speech that his plan "pulls no punches" and even claimed his new measures would receive "bipartisan support", even though the US has only confirmed two cases of omicron, one in San Francisco and one in Minnesota, in a man who had just recently returned from New York City. President Biden reiterated that the omicron variant is cause for "concern not panic".

Bidens' plan will revolve around 5 key points, the first of which is...

1. Expanding access to booster shots. Fewer than 300 cases of omicron have been confirmed world-wide, and yet President Biden is insisting that a booster is the only way to protect against it (a strain of the virus which, for all we know, might cause even milder infections than delta).

2. Developing new policies to keep students in school classrooms for longer, including a new policy called "test to stay" allowing students exposed to COVID to remain in classrooms.

3. Encouraging "free" at-home testing by requiring insurance companies to pay or reimburse Americans for the cost of a test. Biden will also use the defense production act to speed production of rapid- and at-home tests. The US has approved at least 8 at-home testing options, and competition is making costs decline. By next month, private insurance companies will cover at-home tests as well as rapid tests and others. Those not covered can pick up free test kits paid for by the federal government.

4. Biden wants to develop a surge plan to respond to any future outbreaks to help communities who experience "rising cases this winter". Biden says the White House has already been working with both Democratic and Republican governors to field "surge response teams" in areas where resources are growing thin. The US already has 20 teams deployed, but Biden wants to triple that to 60 before the end of the winter.

5. Finally, Biden wants to tighten travel restrictions, particularly on foreigners visiting the US.

From here on out, all inbound travelers must have a negative COVID test from the last 24 hours, regardless of nationality or vaccination status.

In other words, it doesn't matter if you're vaccinated: you still need regular tests to show you don't have COVID, since breakthrough infections are already unsettlingly common.

Finally, Biden insisted that his plan wouldn't include shutdowns or lockdowns, and that he expects the economy to function normally throughout the winter. Most of the details of Biden's plan have been shared with the press already. They include new travel restrictions on foreigners and US citizens requiring COVID tests showing a negative result within the 24 hours before departure for foreigners flying to the US. The federal mask mandate for airports, train stations and other public transit hubs will be extended until March.

Ultimately, President Biden said, defeating COVID will require "vaccinating the rest of the world". But the sad reality is even if the US succeeds in sending 200 billion doses to the rest of the world (an almost unrealistic target that would take years), it's not clear whether this would be enough to stamp out COVID - in fact, it could simply force the virus to mutate more quickly into increasingly virulent forms.

Paul Warns Of Omicron Overreach: "Unscientific Fauci Will Want You To Wear An Extra Mask, Dictate You Can't Go To Church"

Senator Rand Paul warned Wednesday that despite knowing little to nothing about the Omicron variant of COVID, which has been described as mild by South African doctors and experts, the prescription from the likes of Anthony Fauci and Joe Biden is ‘more government and less freedom.’



Appearing on Fox News, Paul urged that Fauci is a “partisan” who “always defaults to more rules, more regulation, and less of your liberty.”

Paul further noted that “instead of waiting to find out whether this is a dangerous variant, [Fauci] immediately wants to test everybody.”

The Senator continued, “If you heard tomorrow that a new coronavirus came out of South Africa, but the symptoms were the same as a cold and that no one was dying from it, why would you want to test everybody? You would waste millions of dollars, interrupt millions of people’s travel, quarantine all these people.”

“Now, if it’s the black plague, maybe we do have to do more testing. So, I’m not saying absolutely we don’t. I’m just saying we’ve no idea,” Paul continued, emphasizing “Why would you make a blanket decision for the whole world on locking the economy down, locking the country up, banning travel before you know whether this is a deadly variant or a less deadly variant?”

Paul further explained, “It would be foolish to have any public health policy come out tomorrow — anything that Biden says will be unsupported by any science – and it will be his gut protective, ‘government must do something,'”

“In all likelihood, government will do the wrong thing. We should wait, we should pause, and study this,” the Senator maintained, adding “The first thing we need to know is [whether] this a worse variant or a less-lethal variant … If it’s less lethal, this might be a lucky break for us. If it’s more lethal, the government should do is get out of the way of a new vaccine and also new monoclonal antibodies.”

“Instead, Fauci will want you to wear an extra mask, and dictate you can’t go to church,” Paul urged.

In a further interview with Breitbart News, Paul argued that it is the misinformation put out by the likes of Fauci that is leading to the “vaccine hesitancy” among Americans that complains about and uses a justification for stricter regulations.

“I think hesitancy is coming from the misinformation of the big-government types,” Paul said, also noting that “I think it’s actually malpractice not to consider natural immunity.”

“So for example, if you’re a pediatrician and you’re telling every kid to be vaccinated without any consideration for whether or not they’ve already had COVID, I think you’re really practicing bad medicine,” Paul urged, adding “I would suggest that everybody who thinks about getting a vaccine for their child ask first for an antibody test.”

The Senator added “[Fauci] has completely ignored over a 100 million people in our country who have already had COVID.”

“Most of the time, [Fauci] is giving edicts that really reflect his own sort of authoritarian impulses, and this is true of a lot of people in public health,” Paul concluded, adding “The people who gravitate to public health are people [and] doctors who are content to work for government. They’ve never really been in business, and their first impulse is to try to stop a disease by controlling the people.”

Second US Omicron Case Is Vaccinated Adult Male Whose "Mild Symptoms" Have Fully Resolved

Update 10:55am: Here is another reason to be optimistic - not suicidal - by the news that the Omicron variant is spreading. As we, Ackman and Kolanovic, all said, the Omicron variant could be the best thing that happened to the pandemic as it is much more "mild" than Delta, and because it is much more transmissible could soon become the dominant version.

As the Minnesota Dept of Health said in its press release on the second identified US covid case, the "Infected Minnesota resident recently returned from domestic travel; variant was found through MDH variant surveillance program, which is one of the strongest surveillance programs in the nation"

And the punchline:

"The person with the Omicron variant is an adult male, is a resident of Hennepin County, and had been vaccinated. The person developed mild symptoms on Nov. 22 and sought COVID-19 testing on Nov. 24. The person’s symptoms have resolved."

In other words, just as we noted, Omicron continues to manifest itself in an extremely mild fashion, and its symptoms go away in days (it is unclear how it progresses in unvaccinated people so far).

The person spoke with MDH case investigators and reported traveling to New York City and attended the Anime NYC 2021 convention at the Javits Center from Nov. 19-21. The person was advised to isolate from others. Minnesota epidemiologists will continue to investigate in collaboration with New York City and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Said otherwise, expect a cluster of Omicron cases in NYC in the next 24-48 hours. And more importantly, with physicians hoping to get an accurate picture of the symptoms of the new strain, we should have a clear picture of just how benign Omicron is within the next 72 or so hours.

However, when moments ago Reuters reported that a second Omicron cade had been identified in Minnesota...

... for algos to pull off the same exact stunt was borderline stupid - after all, every incremental omicron case brings us closer to trillions in stimmies which as everyone by now knows send stocks soaring (inflation will be ignored by everyone if stonks are surging faster than prices are rising). And yet, the dump we just observed is precisely the same that took place yesterday, prompting some - such as us - to ask just what 13-year-olds are programming these algos, that trade the market in the dumbest possible way.



It wasn't just stocks: everything tumbled - yields, cryptos, you name it...



So for all those confused what they should be doing here, let us repeat, what we have been saying and what Rabobank said just moments ago - Omicron "will of course be used as an argument for more stimulus ahead." Those selling stocks on this news clearly have not been paying any attention to what happened in the past year.

Germany Imposes Strict Curbs On Unvaccinated, Limits Gatherings, Will Mandate Covid Shots

Confirming several days of rumors and speculation, moments ago Germany imposed stringent nationwide restrictions on people who aren’t vaccinated against Covid-19 and limited attendance at soccer games and other public events to check the latest surge in infections which naturally should not be happening as most of Germany is vaccinated and wearing masks. But let's just keep doing more of what hasn't worked.

According to Bloomberg, in one of her final acts as chancellor, Angela Merkel held talks with her incoming successor, Olaf Scholz, and Germany’s 16 regional premiers on Thursday, where they agreed on new curbs including allowing only people who are vaccinated or recovered into restaurants, theaters and non-essential stores.

“We are seeing something of an easing but at a level that’s far too high,” Merkel said in Berlin. “That’s why we needed to agree these measures today.”

The politicians also backed a plan to make Covid shots compulsory, saying that the lower house of parliament would vote on it soon.

A vaccine mandate is merely the latest flipflop from those in control and marks a major departure after Merkel and other officials insisted shots would be a personal choice. The soft tone may have contributed to Germany’s relatively tepid uptake, with less than 70% of the population fully inoculated. As a reminder, just a few months ago 60% was viewed as the herd immunity threshold. But with government drunks with power and desperate to extend their control, numbers are changing day by day.

Merkel's replacement and current vice chancellor, Olaf Scholz, is expected to be sworn in on Wednesday after more than two months of coalition negotiations, and the change in power has slowed Germany’s response to a resurgence in the pandemic.

Despite the growing urgency as hospitals fill up, authorities were keen to avoid blanket curbs and close schools. The new measures include tighter contact restrictions for non-vaccinated people, shutting nightclubs in places with high infection rates and strict limits on the number of spectators at large public events.

The agreement makes the guidelines national. Some regions with high infection rates like Bavaria and Saxony had already tightened restrictions, and states continue to have the authority to clamp down harder locally.

Curiously the escalation comes amid some recent good news, with Germany’s infection rate slipping for a third straight day, however medical officials have warned that the situation remains serious.



The head of the DIVI intensive-care lobby predicted on Wednesday that the number of Covid patients in ICUs will reach 6,000 by Christmas, exceeding the previous record. Thursday’s level of 439.2 cases per 100,000 people over the past seven days is still more than double the peak in the spring.

To protect more people, authorities want to administer as many as 30 million vaccine doses by the end of the year, including boosters. Officials also want to significantly expand the pool of people who can give shots, including using qualified workers in drug stores and care facilities.

Unvaccinated Austrians Face Prison Time, Huge Fines For Non-Compliance

Austrians who refuse to take a mandatory COVID-19 vaccine before a government imposed deadline face prison sentences and huge compounding fines for non-compliance.



After initially placing the unvaccinated under lockdown, a policy that completely failed, Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg announced that the jab would become compulsory from February 1.

Questions as to what would happen to those who still refused to take it have now been answered in the form of a draft that was leaked to the media.

“Under the bill, anyone who refused to attend a scheduled vaccination appointment would receive an official summons from local authorities. If an individual failed to show up, they would then be summoned one more time within the next four weeks,” reports RT.

“Should the second official request be ignored as well, the person would face a fine of €3,600 ($4,061) or four weeks in prison.

The fine would increase to €7,200 ($8,000) for those who had already been fined twice for violating the vaccination requirement.”

No one will be “forcibly brought” to a vaccination center to get jabbed against their will, although rest assured, they will be “forcibly” placed behind bars if they continue to refuse.

If it passes, the legislation will stay in place for three years, with the government deciding if having recovered from COVID is a reasonable exemption.

Only pregnant women and children under the age of 12, in addition to those who face “a danger to life or health” by getting the vaccine, will be exempt.

The bill will also make regular booster shots compulsory.

With tens of thousands of protesters taking to the streets of Vienna in recent weeks, expect unrest to grow.

As we previously highlighted, former World Health Organization director Anthony Costello warned that making COVID-19 vaccines mandatory could cause “riots” across Europe.

Germany Falls Completely To Davos

If anyone was under any illusions that Germany wasn’t completely under the control of the Davos Crowd then I think this article from Politico should burn that perception into your retinas.


The article details what’s in the new German government’s agreement between the parties. It lays out the goals of the coalition as well as the roadmap for its policy priorities.

In short, this is literally a laundry list of everything Davos has been demanding and it ensures the complete neutering or submission of the FDP’s Christian Lindner to the Davos agenda.

I’m not going to go through them all point by point, the Politico article does that well enough.

What’s important here is that in light of the media release of OmicronVID-9/11 that the new German government is keen on serving its Davos masters agenda fully. Even though OmicronVID-9/11 looks to be the mildest and least interesting strain of COVID-9/11 that isn’t deterring European governments from announcing enforced vaccination programs, including from Germany’s new, fragile coalition.



This tweet confirms that Lindner fully caved here. New Chancellor Olaf Scholz and a majority of state Presidents are pushing this legislation into the Bundestag as I write.

Sadly, no one should really be surprised by this. While I hoped Lindner would be the thorn in Davos’ side in Germany, it doesn’t look that way at all. This cave was presaged by the ‘retirement’ of uber monetary hawk, Jens Wiedmann, as President of the Bundesbank ‘to spend time with his family.’

Yeah, pull the other one Jens, it plays “Jingle Bells.”

The best Lindner can do under the circumstances is slow the roll out of this but he won’t do it now unless this compulsory vaccination program pushes through the Bundestag and is deeply unpopular with German voters.

But, back to the coalition agreement. This is a document that reads like a German takeover of the entire continent. And I guess that was the bribe offered the FDP to go along with this.

On the surface it cements the idea that Germany is in charge of the EU’s evolution from a collection of independent states into a full political and fiscal union which supersedes all national government considerations. But, at the same time it will further erode any sovereignty left in Germany, as well as any other EU member state.

Davos is clear about what the plan here is, full evolution of the EU into a transnational bureaucratic superstate with zero direct accountability of its leadership to the people.

Expecting this coalition to back down, for example, on “Rule-of-Law” issues with Poland and Hungary is a fantasy. If anything, now Berlin is giving Brussels a blank check to go after these two countries harder than ever.

And the clincher to that argument is in these two provisions highlighted below:

More broadly, the three parties set the highly ambitious goal of changing the EU’s treaties. The deal says the ongoing Conference on the Future of Europe — a discussion forum for possible EU reforms — “should lead to a constitutional convention and the further development of a federal European state.” That stance won’t go down well in some other EU capitals like Warsaw or Budapest, which would likely veto any such moves.

On foreign policy and defense, the treaty demands a reform of the EU’s foreign policy division, the European External Action Service. And it pushes the EU to move away from requiring unanimity for all foreign policy moves — a barrier the bloc has struggled to overcome on basic matters like issuing statements on China’s crackdown in Hong Kong.

Moreover, to sell this transformation into a depraved technocracy, the Germans will push for more direct democratic ‘elections’ across the entire bloc to decide on leadership within the European Commission. Look everyone! Democracy!

This is simply a stalking horse for getting further political integration as the national governments still control who represents them on the Commission. Since, as we’ve seen time and again, Davos and the EU are in full control of the party apparatuses in each major country and the people’s loyalty so split up across five to seven parties in each of these countries, elections themselves are a complete joke since the coalitions that end up ruling look nothing like what the majority of the people actually voted for, c.f. Italy, Chechia, Austria.

Davos controls the governing coalitions in every country other than Hungary and Poland. This is an illusion of more democracy and furthering ‘European values’ while cementing total control within the Brussels bureaucracy.

The most insidious thing in the document to me is Germany’s call for ending unanimity within the European Council on foreign policy matters. This is where both Hungary and Poland have been able to fight off the worst advances by Brussels for years and retain some semblance of independence.

By holding EU foreign policy hostage multiple times in recent years, both countries have been able to slow down and/or force course corrections onto Brussels while retaining some semblance of their autonomy. These have been attrition moves by Prime Ministers Orban and Morawiecki hoping to outlast the EU while popular uprisings against Brussels matured.

But Poland has repeatedly betrayed its Visigrad neighbors with its virulent Russophobia which the Eurocrats and the British have used time and again to their advantage. The Poles continue to play footsie trying to play the EU off Russia to get what they want, but all that ends up happening is they bind themselves tighter in the EU’s geopolitical Chinese finger trap while alienating the Russians even further.

If the Germans are able to push this through, by the complete rewriting of the European Treaties as advocated by this coalition agreement, then during their time in office they will have completed the transformation of the EU into the EUSSR for all intents and purposes.

This agreement is worse than any version I could have expected given the FDP’s involvement in this. The pressure on Lindner must be immense and he likely went along with this, like many, hoping he can at least slow this down by withholding the purse strings.

With AfD not rallying into the September elections, there simply wasn’t the political will to oppose what is happening at this point. That may change in 2022 as things progress from here so German polling will bear very close scrutiny.

That said, I suspect this agreement will go down very well with German voters as it looks like one in which Germany’s power within the EU, which they are still overwhelmingly in favor of, expands greatly.

Notice, however, how quickly Olaf Scholz, the new Chancellor, after rejecting Merkel’s call for new lockdowns over COVID-19 last week and looking surprisingly independent, changed course with the release of OmicronVID-9/11 this week.

In the end, this is close to the government Davos wanted. The FDP can still be a wildcard here depending on how the polls in Germany shift over the next six months. But it looks pretty obvious at this point there is no will to move against the Davos agenda of crashing the European economy and destroying capital formation absent a full takeover of EU institutions first.

The dangerous buildup of tensions in Ukraine with Russia over the breakaway republics of the Donbass is inextricably linked to this shift in Germany’s governance. As are the wranglings over the Nordstream 2 pipeline, which the Scholz government is in favor of.

As always, the EU and Davos want Russia as their energy supplier but as a vassal not as a partner. If anyone is using Nordstream 2 as a political tool over the rest of Europe it is Germany, not Russia, as they will control the distribution of gas internally after Nordstream 2 is live, not Russia.

They will use that as a cudgel to get through many of these policy prescriptions. I am still convinced that Nordstream 2 will be live, delivering gas soon. It may take further negotiations to get it done but it will happen. Don’t discount Germany leaking the letter to the U.S. Congress lobbying them not to further sanction the pipeline because it will do irreparable damage to U.S./German relations.

Whether morons like Ted Cruz (R-TX) finally get this or not is still unknown. With the power vacuum at the top of the U.S. political system, where the Neocon Flying Monkeys are being allowed to bring us to the brink of a NATO war with Russia over Ukraine, all bets are off as to what happens next.

I still feel a real sovereign debt crisis is on the horizon and with FOMC Chair Jerome Powell putting the final nail in the coffin of the “transitory inflation” narrative, it’s clear that the U.S. political faction hostile to selling the country out to Obama and Davos are winning.

And because of this the new German coalition staking their flag in the ground saying, “if EU integration is going to happen, it’s going to happen somewhat on terms we control,” may actually be too little, too late.

Lindner may not be privy to everything going on here either. If he isn’t aware of the nuances at play it may explain why he went along with this insanity. Once he, like Powell and a few others here in the U.S., get a sense of what’s really going on, what the real plan is, he may pull out of this coalition during the height of the debt crisis in2022.

In fact, a collapse of this government could be the catalyst for the very debt crisis we’ve been preparing for.

But for now, I’d consider Germany Davos Occupied Territory completely and Germany as an economic powerhouse of any import a thing of the recent past.

Large UK Supermarket Chains Refuse To Police "Divisive" Face-Mask Mandates

Two large supermarket chains in the UK have refused to make their staff police mandatory face mask rules, with one boss asserting that the issue is too “divisive.”



New face mask rules were imposed in England from today, meaning people who use public transport, enter shops and innumerable other venues have to wear a compulsory face covering.

England dropped mandatory face mask rules back in July, but they remained in place in neighboring countries like Scotland, where official data shows infection rates remained the same or higher.

According to Oxford Professor Jim Naismith, re-imposing face mask rules is “unlikely to have much of an impact” on the spread of the Omicron variant.

Wary of how contentious the issue has become, Iceland and Co-op, two large supermarket chains in the UK, have publicly said they will tell staff not to enforce such rules.

Richard Walker, managing director of Iceland, said the company would instead be concentrating its efforts on the “long-term recovering of the high street.”

“We fully support the reintroduction of compulsory face masks in shops, however, we won’t be asking our store colleagues to police it,” said Walker.

Co-op’s Paul Gerrard went further, telling GMB, “”What we won’t do is we won’t refuse to serve people who aren’t wearing a mask and we won’t refuse entry to the shop to people who aren’t wearing a mask.”

“I won’t be asking my store colleagues to police those who refuse to adhere to the rules because I know that, bizarrely, this is a divisive issue, and I think my store colleagues have got enough to deal with in the run-up to Christmas,” he added.

Forbes Admits mRNA Vaccines Alter DNA Then Changes the Headline

In an article published by Forbes on Monday, the mainstream media admitted that COVID vaccines change your DNA but only indirectly and that is a good thing.

Forbes published an article from Steven Salzberg titled, “Yes, The Vaccine Changes Your DNA. A Tiny Bit. That’s A Good Thing.”



Forbes later retitled the article and admits that “Covid Vaccines Don’t Alter Your DNA – They Help Choose Cells To Strengthen Your Immune Response”. After being criticized by ‘vaccine cult’, the author changed the headline to emphasize that the vaccines “don’t alter your DNA” without changing any of the article’s content.

No editor’s note or other explanation for the change was given by Forbes. While the original headline summarized Salzberg’s argument, the new headline appears to slightly contradict what he wrote.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Thursday announced a Covid vaccine mandate for employees of private and religious schools.

Eventually they transfer their anger and rage at that enemy – which is Covid today – upon a more relatable a nearby object. Perhaps their neighbor. Perhaps the unvaccinated. Perhaps immigrants who are stealing their jobs, or those who aren’t taking Climate Change seriously enough.

With that transference, the path has been laid to re-trod some of the most awful and inhumane periods of history. We’re there again and our own integrity demands that we do what we can to avoid going any further down that path. In this episode Mattias tells us what can be done.

We must never resort to violence. We must be courageous and speak up. We must hold everyone with compassion. But most of all, we must speak up.

Centers For Medicare And Medicaid Services Suspends Vaccine Mandate Enforcement

The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) suspended enforcement of its vaccine mandate for healthcare workers after two court orders earlier this week.

A memo issued by the agency, posted by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt on Twitter Thursday, said that CMS “remains confident” it will prevail in court but is “suspending activities related to the implementation and enforcement of this rule pending future development in the litigation.”



“While these preliminary injunctions are in effect,” it continues to say, “CMS surveyors must not survey providers for compliance with the requirements” with the rule.

The memo is referring to federal government officials conducting checks of whether Medicare- or Medicaid-funded facilities are complying with the Biden administration’s mandate that healthcare staff gets fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by Jan. 4.

The CMS rule allows for religious and medical exemptions to the vaccine.

Schmitt, a Republican who is running for Missouri’s U.S. Senate seat, hailed CMS’s memo as a victory in a Twitter post.

This week, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana issued preliminary injunctions against the CMS vaccine rule, which was unveiled on Nov. 4 alongside federal rules that mandate either testing or vaccines for employers with 100 or more workers.

“Between the two of them, these injunctions cover all states” as well as Washington, D.C. and U.S. territories, the memo said.

CMS has appealed the two federal court decisions.

The rule for private businesses, which is being enforced by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, was dealt a blow last month when a U.S. Fifth Court of Appeals issued an injunction that blocked its enforcement.

The same court affirmed its previous decision several days later, which is currently being challenged by the Biden administration.

On Nov. 29, the Biden administration’s Office of Management and Budget federal told agencies in a memo that they can wait to terminate or suspend their employees who won’t get vaccinated until the holidays are over.

OMB Deputy Director for Management Jason Miller and Office of Personnel Management Director Kiran Ahuja wrote that “no subsequent enforcement actions, beyond that education and counseling” is mandated for federal workers “who have not yet complied with the vaccination requirement until the new calendar year begins in January.”

Later, White House Jen Psaki downplayed the memo and said that “nothing has changed” regarding enforcement, claiming it is “inaccurate” to say that the White House has “delayed anything, or changed” enforcement of the rule. In September, Biden announced he would require all federal employees to receive the shot.

Researchers shoot holes in study touted for confirming 'masks work' in curbing COVID
Study of 342,000 adults finds masks effective against COVID based on 20 infections.

An acclaimed study on the effectiveness of masks in reducing symptomatic COVID-19 is facing new scrutiny after a researcher highlighted the minuscule infection differences between "treatment" and control groups randomized across 600 Bangladeshi villages.

Accused of design flaws and overstating its findings when it was released in late August, the study's newly released data show only 20 more symptomatic COVID cases in the villages that didn't receive masks and related education, reminders and "role modeling by community leaders."

In a total study population of 342,126 adults, 1,106 people in the control group tested positive, compared to 1,086 in the treatment group. The latter group represented 52% of the study population.

"I have a hard time going from these numbers to the assured conclusions that 'masks work' that was promulgated by the media or the authors after this preprint [not yet peer reviewed] appeared," University of California Berkeley professor Ben Recht, who studies machine learning, wrote in an essay last week.

He said he was frustrated that the "raw number of seropositive cases" was left out of the preprint by researchers led by Yale University economists Jason Abaluck and Ahmed Mobarak, preventing him from "computing standard statistical analyses of their results."

The researchers posted the replication code and data in early November, long after media coverage touting "the largest randomized trial to demonstrate the effectiveness of surgical masks, in particular, to curb transmission of the coronavirus."

In light of the full release, "a complex intervention including an educational program, free masks, encouraged mask wearing, and surveillance in a poor country with low population immunity and no vaccination showed at best modest reduction in infection," Recht said.

The newly provided raw numbers exacerbate other weaknesses of the study, according to Recht, who was also initially skeptical of the research because of its "statistical ambiguity."

The study was not blinded, did not exclude pre-intervention infections, and was "highly complex" because of the mixed interventions, he said.

The three-percentage-point differential between household visit consent rates for the treatment and control groups, by itself, "could wash away the difference in observed cases," he explained, adding that relative measures of risk are "[o]ne of the dark tricks of biostatistics," which unlike hard case counts have a tendency to exaggerate effects.

'How robust can this possibly be?'
The UC Berkeley professor's analysis drew attention on Twitter, including from Harvard Medical School epidemiologist Martin Kulldorff, whose own skepticism of the protective power of masks for unvaccinated elderly people got him suspended by Twitter for a month.

"One of the problems of the study is that despite the vast size of the study, the primary endpoint depends on ~5000 blood samples collected" each from the treatment and control groups, Philadelphia cardiologist Anish Koka wrote in a related thread.



"So we are left to extrapolate from a 20 case difference tested in ~10,000 patients to a 300,000 patient study," he continued. "But how robust can this possibly be?"

Koka noted that Yale's Abaluck, a lead author, floated the idea of fining people for not wearing government-supplied cloth masks, the least effective kind, early in the pandemic. "It seems a bit much to go from these small differences to the police tracking down and fining people who don't mask in public," the cardiologist wrote.

Abaluck also argued that if cloth masks reduced spread by 10%, that would more than justify an estimated cost per unit of $1.



The Bangladeshi research performed a year later found the interventions reduced "symptomatic seroprevalence" by 9.3% in the treatment group, but also that cloth masks specifically had "an imprecise zero" effect and surgical masks were statistically insignificant for age groups under 50.

George Mason University economist Tyler Cowen, founder of the economics blog Marginal Revolution and dubbed "one of the most influential economists" of the 2000s by The Economist, pointed his readers to Recht's analysis.

"With more data transparency, [the Bangladeshi study] does not seem to be holding up very well," he wrote Sunday, cautioning that "at the aggregate social level we are quite far from knowing how well masks work."

Abaluck called Recht's analysis "deeply flawed" in a lengthy email to Just the News Monday. He apparently gave the same response to Cowen's post Tuesday, emphasizing the study was now undergoing review at Science.

Recht agrees that "our intervention led to a roughly 10% reduction in symptomatic seropositivity (going from 12% to 41% of the population masked)," Abaluck wrote. "Taking this estimate at face value, going from no one masked to everyone masked would imply a considerably larger effect" — a 33% reduction in COVID.

"People underwhelmed by the absolute number of cases prevented need to ask, what did you expect if masks are as effective as the observational literature suggests?" he wrote.

Abaluck agreed that "survey response bias is a potential concern" but emphasized that the "direction of the bias is unclear — individuals might be more attuned to symptoms in the treatment group." His research group has obtained funding to "replicate the entire study and collect blood spots from symptomatic and non-symptomatic individuals to partially mitigate this bias."

Recht didn't respond to a query for his response to Abaluck's rebuttal but gave a short response in a Twitter thread Tuesday, saying it "highlights how conventions in science can vary widely from field to field," in this case economics and medicine.

These differences show why "we should pay more attention to effect size, bias, and confounding [variables] than any convoluted statistical argument."



Abaluck responded in his own lengthy thread by claiming Recht misunderstood the research trial. "The bottom-line is that the most natural and powered way of interpreting the study results remains asking whether people were less likely to have Covid in the treatment group, which is exactly what we do," he wrote.

While Abaluck believes Recht "is well-intentioned," the UC Berkeley professor should have sought answers directly from Abaluck "so I could clarify that we had good reasons for many of the choices he criticizes."

NJ Assembly Republicans Defy Statehouse’s Proof of Vax Requirement After Standoff with State Troopers

New Jersey state troopers blocked Republicans Assembly members from entering the statehouse in Trenton on Thursday before Republicans defied the rule and entered the Assembly chamber. A new coronavirus policy that went into effect Wednesday, which requires proof of vaccination or a negative coronavirus test from those who wish to enter the statehouse, was the catalyst for the conundrum. Late Thursday, a state judge stayed the order following a lawsuit filed by Republicans on Wednesday.

Half a dozen Republicans refused to provide documentation of vaccination or a negative test, according to NJ.com. Assemblyman Erik Peterson (R-Hunterdon) said, “This is tyranny, folks,” and added, “They’re not letting the minority party vote.”

“Liberty is dying right here on the floor,” said Assemblyman Hal Wirths (R-Sussex) per Nj.com

“I know you’re just doing your jobs. But this is horseshit,” said Republican state Sen. Holly Schepisi as she showed her vaccine card to gain entry to the senate chambers, NJ.com reports.

Shortly after the Republican assembly members took their seats, they were reportedly threatened with physical removal, according to a tweet from NJ1015 radio host Bill Spadea.



Speaker Craig Coughlin reportedly threatened to have the assembly members, who did not comply with the order, removed from the chambers. Assemblywoman and Deputy Republican Whip Serena DiMaso tweeted, “** UPDATE** Speaker Coughlin has said that if we do not vacate the chambers in two hours we will be physically removed and/or carried out. @NJGOP @NJAssemblyGOP standing strong!”

Speaker Coughlin reportedly took the floor after the conundrum and called the Republican lawmakers’ entrance into the chamber a “political stunt,” according to a tweet from reporter Daniel Munoz of NJBiz. Coughlin also dubbed the New Jersey state trooper’s security efforts as a “colossal failure.”

Dean said when asked about reports that former President Donald Trump tested positive for COVID a few days before the first presidential debate in 2020, “Look, Trump was the most immoral and irresponsible president in the history of the country. He may or may not be the worst president, but he certainly is in contention. But he was certainly the one with the fewest morals and scruples and certainly the craziest in terms of psychiatric illness. So we are used to this kind of stuff. I am not shocked. I am disgusted I am not shocked.”

He continued, “There was another survey today, which was disturbing. Forty-one percent of Republicans today said they wouldn’t get the shot, but 24% of them said they would never get the shot, ever. If Republicans are a little less than half of the country, that means an eighth of the country intends never to be vaccinated, which means we’ll never get rid of this virus. There will always be a reservoir of this virus in the American population until we can get up over 85%- 90% vaccination. That is irresponsible, and that is what is disgusting.”

Dean added, “There is no indication that we do need to panic except for those 24% of Republicans that are going to refuse to get their vaccinations, which I think is insanity.”

McConnell: Good Chance Courts or Senate Block Vax Mandate, Shutdown Won’t Work

On Thursday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) argued that there’s a good chance that the federal vaccine mandate will either be struck down by the courts or that the Senate will vote to prohibit the mandate from going into effect, while shutting down the government over the issue is not going to succeed.

McConnell said, “I think there is good news, multiple courts have pushed the pause button on these government vaccine mandates. There’s a decent chance the courts will strike them down. Secondly, next week, we’re going to have a vote on the vaccine mandate prohibiting that regulation from going into effect. I think it has a decent chance of passing the Senate. I don’t think shutting down the government over this issue is going to get an outcome. It would only create chaos and uncertainty. So, I don’t think that’s the best vehicle to get this job done. I think the courts are likely to get it done or we’ll pass, early next week, freestanding, a measure to overturn the government mandate.”

McConnell further stated that there won’t be a government shutdown.

WA Dictator Jay Inslee: We Will ‘Be Active’ Against ‘Omnicraw’ . . . ‘No Matter What the Science Tells Us’

• There are two clear takeaways from the video below of Washington Governor Jay Inslee discussing the Omicron “scariant” of Covid-19. First, he knows nothing about the disease itself, using four different pronunciations of “Omicron-Omicraw-Ohmicron-Omnicron” in the short speech. Second, he said the quiet part out loud when he declared they’re going to act against it “no matter what the science tells us.”

That’s been the case from the beginning of the Plandemic. They used to say, “follow the science,” but what they were really saying was, “listen to the scientists we’ve bribed, bullied, or blackmailed into spouting forth our narrative.”

As a bonus takeaway, what’s up with the huge face mask? Is he making a fashion statement, a political statement, or a declaration of his idiocy?

The solution to everything according to dictators like Inslee is to get vaxxed and boostered, of course. He even tried to scare up some fear in Delta because we can’t forget their last attempt to scare us into submission.

The science is as clear as possible about the “vaccines.” They aren’t working. They’re making things worse, not just from the obvious economic and societal devastation they’re causing but also the increasingly likely hypothesis that the jabs actually inhibit one’s ability to fight the disease.

How Omicron Is Being Used to Blame Africa and the ‘Unvaccinated’ for the Many Failures of the Jabs

No sooner had the Omicron hysteria hit the headlines, politicians, aided by a compliant global lockstep media, started telling the world’s population to prepare to roll up their sleeves.

What’s more, three scapegoats have been identified: the unvaccinated, HIV patients and the least vaccinated continent on the planet: Africa.

One of many similar calls was made in the influential Scientific American magazine by Southampton University public health and vaccine hesitancy researcher, Michael Head Ph.D., not unsurprisingly a Gates Foundation funding recipient. For many in the industrialized world, there is a sense of déjà vu from this time last year — but with a twist.

Last year the population had been primed to expect almost impossibly high levels of protection from infection based on the results of phase 3 clinical trials. Only recently have these trials been brought into question.

Last year, the majority had also bought the line that these new generation “genetic vaccines” would stop transmission and yield herd immunity. The head of the Oxford Vaccine Group, Prof. Andrew Pollard, subsequently told the world that possibility is now “mythical.”

Knowing what they knew then, people flocked to the vaccination centers as the promise being offered was a return to normal life. Only time would tell how misplaced that view was. This time around things are very different.

The COVID-19 injections have been shown to increasingly fail even with delta, hence the re-casting of the ‘vaccine effectiveness’ correlates from protection against infection now to protection against severe disease.

The indisputable reality is that the COVID-19 injections are “leaky.” The spike-targeting neutralizing IgG antibodies they so readily elicit just don’t neutralize (block) very well so they can’t stop infection or subsequent transmission.

What drives the creation of immune escape variants?
Perceptions among politicians, the public and even scientists as to the main drivers of mutations that can escape the effects of the immune system, whether from naturally-acquired infection or the response generated by injections, differ wildly.

Smack in the middle of this lack of consensus comes Omicron, and a high chance that policies based on one line of thinking will be viewed as counterproductive or even potentially disastrous and life threatening by others.

We’ve reported on the underlying science at length before, and supported the evolutionary arguments elaborated in the public domain by Belgian vaccinologist, Geert Vanden Bossche, VDM, Ph.D., David Lorimer, program director of the Scientific and Medical Network and I have, this week, released a short article that attempts to summarize in layperson’s language the central tenets of Vanden Bossche’s thesis.

The opposing arguments ignore entirely evolutionary pressure and focus on the unvaccinated and the immune compromised as the reservoirs that provide more opportunities to breed mutants.

The logic — at face value — seems reasonable. If the virus is able to replicate more often in people who suffer COVID-19 disease for longer, and people who can’t effectively neutralize the virus, the increased replication increases the probability of mutants emerging.

More rolls of the dice, if you like. The trouble is that this argument is fundamentally flawed for a number of reasons. We’ve seen previous mutants by and large being generated under high vaccination pressures, with increases in cases being associated with expanding “vaccine” coverage.

Also, clear evidence that the vaccines are increasingly unable to neutralize the virus, especially more recently emerging variants, so being unable to stop transmission while also waning in effectiveness within a few months post-jab.

What’s more, they also interfere with innate immune training which is our primary defence against different variants of this (and other) pathogens and our only means of developing herd immunity given the “leakiness” of the current “genetic vaccines.”

Omicron focus
In a sea of immense uncertainty, one thing that is more or less certain, now that the initial errors in the claimed mutations were corrected, is the 32 spike protein mutations of Omicron.
But it’s not just the, comparatively speaking, high number of significant mutations in the spike protein (Table 1), it’s their potential impacts on both the virus and the human immune systems with which the virus interacts that are key.

It’s of course too early to know exactly what effects these mutations will have on the very diverse and varied populations of humans, and potentially other species if spill-over continues.

The limited information available from the small numbers of cases that have been reported so far is that disease severity (i.e., deadliness) is not significantly greater than with delta.

It’s too early to say if Omicron will out-compete delta as this depends on many factors, such as the ability or otherwise of Omicron to evade innate and/or adaptive immunity in populations with different immune backgrounds (generated by COVID injections and naturally-acquired infection), and latency prior to high viral loads being generated.

Early reports, such as those by South African, Dr. Angelique Coetzee, who first spotted the new symptoms of Omicron-mediated COVID-19 were that the severity of disease wasn’t worse than delta. It’s likely though that the pattern of symptoms will be different.

Younger people may also be more vulnerable, especially if their trained innate immunity is damaged by injections. This view is of course not wholly in line with that of the WHO that stated the following on Nov. 28:

“There is currently no information to suggest that symptoms associated with Omicron are different from those from other variants. Initial reported infections were among university students—younger individuals who tend to have more mild disease — but understanding the level of severity of the Omicron variant will take days to several weeks.”

Many independent experts have opined that transmission might be higher based on the configuration of the mutations and if that’s the case and latency isn’t extended significantly over delta — Omicron may readily replace delta as the dominant variant in most countries.

Early reports from South Africa also suggest transmission will be high.

While it will likely be days or weeks before Omicron’s potential virulence and transmissibility can be better appreciated, the configuration of mutations — highly conserved within the spike protein itself — tells us that there’s a high likelihood that existing injections will be even less effective than on delta.

This view is confirmed by none other than Dr. Anthony Fauci, as well as others, such as Dr. Samiran Panda who heads the Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases Division of the Indian Council of Medical Research.

The pace at which the new variant has been used by politicians to push first-generation injections on the public, along with everything else we know about the host-pathogen-injection interaction, is breathtaking given the uncertainties involved with this policy.

They know, for example, these injections were designed to elicit antibodies that are highly specific to the original Wuhan strain’s spike protein and they also know the configuration differs substantially to that of the Omicron variant.

While the public is being told they should boost their immune system with the existing injections, they’re not being told that there could be grave costs to this, like damaging innate immunity, inducing more severe reactions to disease, enhancing transmission or exposing countless people to unnecessary, potentially debilitating or life-threatening adverse reactions.

Pfizer has already announced it’s working on making new injections built specifically for Omicron and these might be 100 days away. The immediate decision to foist the old injections on the public to “boost” immunity with what are probably even more weakly neutralizing antibodies at best is clearly based on political or economic, not medical, expedience.

Where did Omicron come from?
The world’s media is typically claiming Botswana or South Africa as the country in which Omicron was first detected. It is true that the largest numbers of cases have been found there, as evidenced by the country submission count on the GISAID variant tracker, as seen in Table 2.

But it’s also clear, from the GISAID records, that neither Botswana nor South Africa were the countries in which the earliest detection of Omicron (variant B.1.1.529) occurred.

Collections in Sweden, Israel, Reunion and the UK all appear to precede those from Botswana and South Africa. Check out the table from GISAID below, which is in reverse chronological order.

Today we hear that a sample collected in October in Nigeria from an “incoming international traveller” was positive for Omicron.

No doubt a lot more will be revealed in time. For us, currently available information means the jury is absolutely out as to whether Omicron originated in Africa at all.

The origins might well have been a traveler from a highly vaccinated country that imported it to Africa. Dr. Masupu of the Presidential COVID-19 Task Force of the Botswana Government confirmed that the four university students known by the task force to be infected with Omicron were all fully vaccinated.

We also know that blaming Omicron on Africa makes sense if there is to be mounting pressure to vaccinate the world’s least vaccinated continent, that also has by far the fewest issues with COVID-19 (see Fig. 1). Much of Africa — it seems — doesn’t want to play ball.

What we also know is just after South Africa announced it didn’t want to accept more COVID injections from Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson, the Omicron alarm bell was sounded.

Coincidence?

Possible consequences of using boosters in an Omicron wave
What we have witnessed since early 2021 when COVID jabs were rolled out across the industrialized world is a gradual loss of synchronicity in the injection efforts.

Different countries had different uptakes, the speed of roll out across successively younger age groups, hesitancy and refusal varied country to country and sometimes even region to region.

All of that loss of synchronicity actually reduces selection pressure — as does having big reservoirs of unvaccinated young people with lively innate immune systems, like in much of the African continent.

Omicron will re-synchronize the injection campaigns. Vast numbers of people will get a top up of the first generation jab, only to be hit yet again when the “must-have” Omicron-specific jab rolls off the production line probably in under 4 months.

More synchronization means that more intense selection pressure will be applied to the spike protein of Omicron, and more replication will occur as the antibodies generated by the injections will not effectively block infection.

This creates the vicious circle that Vanden Bossche has described that we have been caught in already for a year with ever greater risk of more dangerous and more infective mutants being generated.

Higher frequency of exposure also means more insults to the immune system and that means more damage to the innate immunity of our species — our primary weapon against a mutating pathogen.

The conditions are set for escalating risks of antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE) of disease when injected people are exposed to disease, as well as an ever greater toll of adverse events and deaths mediated by autoimmunity, inflammation, neurological and cardiac issues.

The consequences of a bad outcome for humanity are scarcely worth considering — and it seems that’s why the politicians, ushered along by a vaccine/biotech/pharma industry with an insatiable appetite for maximizing profitability while avoiding any liability for any damages caused — are going with it.

If vaccine passports and digital IDs for everyone on the planet, as precursors to a new digital currency and the merging of man and machine (transhumanism), are elements of the real end-game, it makes even more sense why global leaders are so up for it. Just don’t be fooled that this is about a virus, medicine or science.

Ominous Omicron
Just as the earlier unscientifically-based decisions to lockdown, mask up and socially isolate populations at the beginning of this pandemic was an ominous signal of the authoritarianism and suppression that was to come, Omicron’s arrival is just as ominous.

Once again, it’s not the virus we should primarily worry about if we can help our immune systems to be the best versions of themselves, and if we can access early treatments that are variant agnostic.

It is the reaction of governments, health authorities, politicians and business leaders who seem hell bent on continuing this failing, ever more risky endeavor of installing synthetic instructions into our bodies, the consequences of which will not be well known to the public for some years.

Bear in mind that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration asked a federal judge to make the American public wait until 2076 (yes, 55 years!) before all of the data on Pfizer’s “genetic vaccine” it relied on for approvals are made public.

The great news is the judge has just forced Pfizer to release the documents incrementally — the first lot being something of a revelation in terms of the adverse event profile. More on that next week.

Without our trust, one wonders if “they” are beginning to understand why so many of us around the world are conscientious objectors?

Lisa Boothe on the Greater Threat than Covid

At 36-years-old, Fox News pundit Lisa Boothe is statistically not at risk from Covid-19. She has been outspoken against the various vaccine mandates. Today, she took to social media to explain why she’s not getting the jabs.

If you are under 70 you have a 99.95% survival rate against COVID. That threat diminishes the younger you get. But let’s just engage in gross human rights abuses against people who don’t want to get vaccinated against a virus that is not a threat to their life.

What far too many people fail to understand is that the tyranny rising across the globe isn’t just going to affect the unvaccinated. Those who have been jabbed will soon learn they are no longer considered “fully vaccinated” unless they get on the incessant booster regimen. Even those who are okay with this concept will be detrimentally impacted by the economic disaster the mandates will directly cause.

As Boothe pointed out, the vaccines do not protect people from contracting nor do they prevent people from spreading Covid-19. Therefore, those who think the mandates will help them remain healthy are either delusional, anti-science, or both.

Vaccine inventor: 'Fundamentally evil' COVID policies harming children
Dr. Robert Malone tells WND the damage is 'deep and profound and will last for decades'

In a wide-ranging video interview with WND, the vaccine researcher who invented the messenger RNA technology behind the Pfizer and Moderna shots explained why he opposes universal vaccination for the COVID-19 virus and why he's been willing to risk the reputation he's cultivated over three decades and weather the scorn of the government and health-care establishment.

Dr. Robert Malone cited the evidence for his concerns about the vaccines, the mandates and policies he believes are causing serious harm, particularly to children, but he also offered insight on his personal journey during the pandemic that has rocked the world.

Unknown to most critics and allies alike, he said in the 80-minute interview, is that he's not "right wing."

"My wife and I are Central Coast Californians by birth and youth, and we actually come from slightly center-left on the political spectrum," he told WND.

"But I've got to say, what we've observed live the last two years has completely changed our point of view on politics in the United States.

"And the thing is, I'm seeing that all across the country."

Malone noted he's been on podcasts with African Americans and others traditionally on the political left "who are really not happy with what's happening at all."

"I'm pretty sure what I'm seeing is a major political realignment starting to grow in the United States, and really worldwide, and it's like a wakeup call."

It's about the rights of the individual and the fundamental freedom of speech upon which the nation was founded, he said.

"This is scrambling politics," said Malone of the pandemic, predicting — while acknowledging such prognostications are outside of his "core competency" – a "major sea change in the 2022 midterms."

'It's hurting people'
Malone said the reason he is speaking out, in spite of the considerable personal risks, is simple.
"It's because I'm bloody well pissed off. It's not right, it's not fair, it's hurting people, it is breaking the rules, left and right, people are lying continuously, they're manipulating data," he said.

"It's shocking."

He believes the consequences will be fundamental, with a "damaged" hospital and medical-care delivery system and a loss of faith in the government.

The insertion of the government in the affairs of the family, with the lockdowns, school shutdowns, and the vaccine and mask mandates, is causing damage that is "deep and profound and will last for decades," he said.

"Evil can sometimes be intentional, and sometimes it's unintentional, but right now what we're seeing happening with our children is fundamentally evil," he said.

"It's just a question in my mind to what extent it's been intentional. And I hope it hasn't been."

Malone discusses two major efforts in which he serves, as WND reported earlier this week, the grassroots Unity Project opposing vaccine mandates and the International Alliance of Physicians and Medical Scientists that was launched by the Global Covid Summit.

'Rushed out the door'
Some of Malone's critics have insisted he's either lying about or embellishing his role in the development of mRNA vaccine technology.

He explained that he didn't invent mRNA, which is a fundamental biomolecule, but he did invent the idea of using mRNA as a drug, along with a "whole suite of technologies that enables that, demonstrating the proper structure of the mRNA, the method of production, the purification, the assembly of all those parts."

And he had "the brainstorm" that it could become a new pathway for producing biomolecules and be used as a gene therapy for vaccination.

Ultimately, he argued, "inventorship" is established by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and not by "fact-checkers that haven't graduated from college yet" or journalists.

His big concern is that the experimental vaccines have been "rushed out the door" without the measures and the time that previously have been employed to ensure safety and efficacy.

As a 30-year veteran of vaccine development, he decried "the things that Pfizer is getting away with, the data manipulation, the flat-out fraudulence in some of the clinical trial data."

"If I pulled those tricks, I would be barred from clinical research in the future," he said

"It's not right in terms of ensuring safety and efficacy for the world's population."

He called the COVID-19 vaccine rollout the "largest experiment being done on human beings, and it's being done in a haphazard way that is violating all the norms for how clinical research and advanced development for regulatory affairs are supposed to be managed."

'Wrong think'
Malone said he has known White House coronavirus adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci for 30 years and has gone "toe to toe" with him at various times over that period of time.

The vaccine researcher shrugs off the criticism from public health officials and others, arguing that many of his conclusions and claims were "heresy" and "wrong think" six months ago but increasingly have become "accepted dogma."

Among the "former heresies" are his claims about the toxicity of the spike protein in SARS-CoV-2, the "shell game" with Pfizer's licensing of its Cominarty COVID vaccine and the vaccine risks to children.

"I chose that as the hill I would die on, to do everything I could to keep from mandatory vaccination of children," he said.

He also made, in early 2020, the "risk assessment that we didn't have time to build a vaccine that was going to be safe and effective and we needed to focus on repurposed drugs."

He first began to focus on repurposed drugs on Jan. 10, 2020, when the virus sequence – then called the Wuhan seafood market virus – was first uploaded.

Malone also came up with the mass cell hypothesis, the inflammatory cascade basis for the pulmonary damage caused by the virus.

A big concern has been the "hunting down" and "driving out" of physicians who push back against efforts to curb their ability to treat patients and save lives.

"The stuff that's gone on is going to fill the history books for decades and decades and decades," he said.

No longer the gold standard?
Malone noted he was at a roundtable in Lisbon, Portugal, with about 50 "thought leaders" – politicians, medical professionals and journalists.

One of the participants asked, in Malone's words, during the Q&A: "Dr. Malone, we've always believed that the CDC and the FDA were the gold standard worldwide for health and pharmaceutical regulation. And what we've learned through this is that they are corrupt, and we can no longer rely on them."

Malone said that statement "hit me like a brick in the head."

"I hadn't really realized up until that point that what we've done is gone through this insane rushing of pushing something out that is not safe and is not effective, and breaking all the rules. And pushing it on the rest of the world through all kinds of means," he said.

"What we've done is compromised the world's belief in the integrity of the American system for regulating drugs and biologics."

He sees a movement in the global pharmaceutical industry away from the United States and toward China and India.

Public trust in the U.S. has been "deeply, deeply damaged," he said.

Malone was asked his assessment of the new omicron variant.

The early indication, based on limited data, is that it appears to be less pathogenic, or dangerous, than the delta variant and potentially more infectious.

"It's absolutely the trajectory that we would hope might occur as time passes with this virus that is now firmly in our population and we will never eradicate," he said.

More Than 400 Studies on the Failure of Compulsory Covid Interventions

The great body of evidence (comparative research studies and high-quality pieces of evidence and reporting judged to be relevant to this analysis) shows that COVID-19 lockdowns, shelter-in-place policies, masks, school closures, and mask mandates have failed in their purpose of curbing transmission or reducing deaths. These restrictive policies were ineffective and devastating failures, causing immense harm especially to the poorer and vulnerable within societies.

Nearly all governments have attempted compulsory measures to control the virus, but no government can claim success. The research indicates that mask mandates, lockdowns, and school closures have had no discernible impact of virus trajectories.

Bendavid reported “in the framework of this analysis, there is no evidence that more restrictive nonpharmaceutical interventions (‘lockdowns’) contributed substantially to bending the curve of new cases in England, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, or the United States in early 2020.” We’ve known this for a very long time now but governments continue to double down, causing misery upon people with ramifications that will likely take decades or more to repair.

The benefits of the societal lockdowns and restrictions have been totally exaggerated and the harms to our societies and children have been severe: the harms to children, the undiagnosed illness that will result in excess mortality in years to come, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation in our young people, drug overdoses and suicides due to the lockdown policies, the crushing isolation due to the lockdowns, psychological harms, domestic and child abuse, sexual abuse of children, loss of jobs and businesses and the devastating impact, and the massive numbers of deaths resulting from the lockdowns that will impact heavily on women and minorities.

Now we have whispers again for the new lockdowns in response to the Omicron variant that, by my estimations, will be likely infectious but not more lethal.

How did we get here? We knew that we could never eradicate this mutable virus (that has an animal reservoir) with lockdowns and that it would likely become endemic like other circulating common cold coronaviruses. When we knew an age-risk stratified approach was optimal (focused protection as outlined in the Great Barrington Declaration) and not carte blanche policies when we had evidence of a 1,000-fold differential in risk of death between a child and an elderly person. We knew of the potency and success of early ambulatory outpatient treatment in reducing the risk of hospitalization and death in the vulnerable.

It was clear very early on that Task Forces and medical advisors and decision-makers were not reading the evidence, were not up to speed with the science or data, did not understand the evidence, did not ‘get’ the evidence, and were blinded to the science, often driven by their own prejudices, biases, arrogance, and ego. They remain ensconced in sheer academic sloppiness and laziness. It was clear that the response was not a public health one. It was a political one from day one and continues today.

A recent study (pre-print) captures the essence and catastrophe of a lockdown society and the hollowing out of our children by looking at how children learn (3 months to 3 years old) and finding across all measures that “children born during the pandemic have significantly reduced verbal, motor, and overall cognitive performance compared to children born pre-pandemic.”

Researchers also reported that “males and children in lower socioeconomic families have been most affected. Results highlight that even in the absence of direct SARS-CoV-2 infection and COVID-19 illness, the environmental changes associated with the COVID-19 pandemic is significantly and negatively affecting infant and child development.”

Perhaps Donald Luskin of the Wall Street Journal best captures what we have stably witnessed since the start of these unscientific lockdowns and school closures: “Six months into the Covid-19 pandemic, the U.S. has now carried out two large-scale experiments in public health—first, in March and April, the lockdown of the economy to arrest the spread of the virus, and second, since mid-April, the reopening of the economy. The results are in. Counterintuitive though it may be, statistical analysis shows that locking down the economy didn’t contain the disease’s spread and reopening it didn’t unleash a second wave of infections.”

The British Columbia Center for Disease Control (BCCDC) issued a full report in September 2020 on the impact of school closures on children and found para “that i) children comprise a small proportion of diagnosed COVID-19 cases, have less severe illness, and mortality is rare ii) children do not appear to be a major source of SARS-CoV-2 transmission in households or schools, a finding which has been consistent globally iii) there are important differences between how influenza and SARS-CoV-2 are transmitted. School closures may be less effective as a prevention measure for COVID-19 iv) school closures can have severe and unintended consequences for children and youth v) school closures contribute to greater family stress, especially for female caregivers, while families balance child care and home learning with employment demands vi) family violence may be on the rise during the COVID pandemic, while the closure of schools and childcare centres may create a gap in the safety net for children who are at risk of abuse and neglect.”

Now places like Austria (November 2021) have re-entered the world of lockdown lunacy only to be outmatched by Australia. Indeed, an illustration of the spurious need for these ill-informed actions is that they are being done in the face of clear scientific evidence showing that during strict prior societal lockdowns, school lockdowns, mask mandates, and additional societal restrictions, the number of positive cases went up!

The pandemic response today remains a purely political one.

What follows is the current totality of the body of evidence (available comparative studies and high-level pieces of evidence, reporting, and discussion) on COVID-19 lockdowns, masks, school closures, and mask mandates. There is no conclusive evidence supporting claims that any of these restrictive measures worked to reduce viral transmission or deaths. Lockdowns were ineffective, school closures were ineffective, mask mandates were ineffective, and masks themselves were and are ineffective and harmful.

Vaccine Mandates: Unscientific, Divisive, and Enormously Costly

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s controversial plan to enforce COVID-19 vaccinations for large businesses—recently enjoined by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals— was ostensibly designed to minimize “deadly outbreaks of COVID-19.” The ability of COVID-19 vaccines to protect life is at the heart of the OSHA mandate and the fierce debate over similar mandates now embroiling much of the world.

Nearly 18,000 scientific papers have been published since last year on COVID-19 and vaccines, so the task of sifting through the evidence to help critically evaluate whether vaccines reduce risk of death seems daunting. It turns out, though, that two studies stand so far above the rest in terms of rigor and quality that they are uniquely suited to help us address the question of vaccine protection.

These two studies, published last month in the New England Journal of Medicine, are fundamentally distinct from the other studies in that they are the only clinical trials yet reported to randomize adults to receive either a COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) or a placebo injection and then follow them over time. Why is this important? Because the randomized controlled study design they used is the gold standard and most rigorous scientific tool available to examine cause and effect relationships between an intervention and outcome (vaccination and death, in this case).

This design also limits as much as possible the influence of other factors, whether known or unknown, that could affect the outcome. Many studies have used other designs to try and understand how well the COVID-19 vaccine protects against death, but no matter how well planned or executed, none of these studies approaches the level of scientific rigor that a well-conducted randomized controlled trial offers.

So did these two clinical trials find that vaccination reduced the risk of dying from COVID-19?

The Moderna study reported one death from COVID-19 in the vaccinated group and three in the unvaccinated group, far too few to make any statistical conclusion. The Pfizer trial was even more inconclusive because the findings published in the New England Journal report (one COVID-19 death in the vaccinated group and two in the unvaccinated group) differed from what Pfizer later reported to the Food and Drug Administration, and the FDA update did not specify the number of COVID-19 deaths.

Regardless, the most relevant study endpoint is not death from COVID-19 but all-cause mortality, which counts every death that occurred during the study period. All-cause mortality is the key outcome of interest not simply because it circumvents the oftentimes subjective decision as to why someone died but also because it balances all the possible effects of a COVID-19 vaccine, both good and bad, that could influence risk of death. In other words, it allows us to quantify lives saved by the COVID-19 vaccine while taking into account potential lives lost from vaccine-related heart disease, blood clots, severe allergic reactions, and perhaps other causes.

Because results from the two trials were so similar regardless of the type of vaccine used it is helpful to merge the results. Following a combined total of 74,580 individuals, half given the COVID-19 vaccination and half given a placebo shot, over six to seven months, the two studies reported that thirty-seven people who were vaccinated died as compared to thirty-three people who received placebo.

Simply put, the very best scientific evidence currently available to mankind does not support the widely held contention that COVID-19 vaccination using the Pfizer or Moderna brands lowers risk of death, at least over the first half-year after vaccination. Interestingly, these striking findings were not reported in the main body of the papers but in supplemental sections.

There are several additional points to consider.

First, the studies’ findings were limited by the fact that their design did not take into consideration previous infection leading to subsequent immunity from COVID-19 infection, which could very well have lowered risk of death in one or both study groups.

Second, there are serious concerns over falsification of data and other data integrity issues in the Pfizer trial so this could also have influenced results. Importantly, because both trials mostly excluded groups at highest risk of dying from COVID-19 such as the frail elderly, the very obese, or those with serious chronic illnesses, we cannot assume that the vaccines do not protect against death in these populations.

Based on my clinical judgment and lesser quality supportive evidence, I generally assume when treating such patients that the vaccine’s benefits outweigh its risks and so advocate for their use, though I cannot be absolutely certain they offer protection against death because of the lack of randomized controlled evidence.

Finally, the very low rates of death from COVID-19 observed in both studies should serve to remind us of how minimal this risk is in the general population.

Perhaps the key takeaway message is that absolutist, rigid COVID-19 vaccine mandates such as that put forth by OSHA are not based on best science. Such mandates run counter to the universal medical dictum of risk stratification, whereby treatment is tailored to individuals based on individual risks and benefits to be accrued. They also violate the dominant philosophy of evidence-based medicine, which supports the use of current best evidence when making decisions about patient care.

The Pfizer and Moderna trials show that in lower risk populations (which account for most of society) COVID-19 vaccines do not reduce mortality. Therefore, vaccine mandates, which are enormously costly and terribly divisive, are a cure worse than the disease.

American DNA May Land in China As Authorities Continue COVID Testing with CCP-Linked Firms.

he Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is continuing to offer COVID-19 testing and vaccinations from Fulgent Genetics despite LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva and the FBI stating that genetic material gathered by Fulgent can be used by the Chinese Communist Party, their military, and other affiliated groups.

A letter composed by Sheriff Villanueva to the Board of Supervisors was posted to social media this week, detailing information from the FBI Weapons of Mass Destruction Coordinator, who explicitly stated Fulgent’s links to BGI, WuXi, Huawei Technology, the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, the PRC State Council, all of whom can use genetic material gathered from LA citizens in future studies and other research:

Villanueva has refused Fulgent access to testing and vaccination data from first responders across LA County.

Despite being made aware that they are potentially providing citizen’s genetic material to the Chinese Communist Party via Fulgent’s free testing and vaccination programs, the County of Los Angeles website is still working with the third-party provider.

The website states LA citizens qualify for free testing and vaccinations by Fulgent genetics, so long as they have symptoms of COVID-19 and are either older than 65 or are unable to leave their home.

LA County Human Resources demand that all workers show proof of vaccination, and upload all of their personal and vaccine data to a Fulgent Genetics-operated portal. Workers do not have to receive their vaccine from Fulgent genetics, but they must upload all pertinent data to the LAC-Fulgent Genetics registration portal.

Fulgent have said of their platform: “our technology platform facilitates our ability to perform customized genetic tests using our expansive library of genes, and we believe this flexibility increases the utility of the genetic data we produce.”

Many of LA County’s 88 cities have partnered with the county and Fulgent to host free COVID-19 vaccination sites. In April of 2021, the City of Duarte held a free vaccine drive. West Hollywood is offering ongoing testing and vaccine information in partner with Fulgent.

Fulgent is closely linked with China. In the second quarter of 2017, the firm partnered with Xi Long USA to form a joint venture called FF Gene BioTech in order to offer genetic testing to customers in China.

In SEC documents, Fulgent argued that after the United States acknowledged Hong Kong as no longer autonomous from China, subsequent sanctions by the U.S. State Department had potential material and financial harm to their operations.

The document states: “Any further changes in the United States trade policy [with China and Hong Kong] could trigger retaliatory actions by affected countries, including China, resulting in trade wars.”

Per the letter provided by Villaneuva, LA county has further demanded that all first responders must turn over their genetic data to the China-linked company, or face firing. As the PRC enacted the China cyber security law in 2017, the government of China can seize any data stored within China or by organizations who operate within China.

On Fulgent’s website, they note that California’s Consumer Privacy Act on 2018 does not apply to personally identifiable health information. Summarized, Fulgent Genetics core business is not subject to privacy laws in California, meaning that privacy is not guaranteed for any laboratory testing or test results of any data they collect, or whom they collect it from.

Per their website, Fulgent collect identifiers related to web behavior, IP addresses, biometric information, and other various personal data. All genetic and personal data collected by Fulgent from LA citizens can be used by the PRC.

VAXX Conspiracy? Austria Plummets Into Political Turmoil as Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg Steps Down

It's hard enough getting many Americans to pay attention to what’s happening in American politics, let alone events that are happening half a world away in a foreign nation. But the odd series of events in Austria may be a harbinger for what’s to come across Europe and eventually to the United States. If you’re not paying attention yet, today’s a good day to start.

Austrian Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg is stepping down as soon as his party selects a new leader. The former party leader, Sebastian Kurz, declared earlier in the day he’s stepping down as well to focus on his young family. These events by themselves may seem like just another day in European politics, but when we consider the trajectory Austria is heading with some of the most draconian Covid vaccine mandates in the world being recently announced, we should keep a close eye on developments there.

Kurz was the young, firebrand chancellor who had the attention of President Trump. But allegations that he used state funds to solicit positive press reports forced him to resign “temporarily” so he could clear his name, prompting Schallenberg to step in for their conservative People’s Party (ÖVP) in the interim. Shortly after Kurz announced he is retiring from politics completely, Schallenberg announced he will step down as Chancellor once a new party leader is in power to also take over his position as state leader.

Meanwhile, every citizen in Austria is expected to get vaxxed by February 1 of next year or face harsh fines. According to Natural News:

Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg recently announced that the COVID-19 vaccine mandate will affect virtually every single person in the country.

This nationwide mandate is expected to come into effect starting Feb. 1, 2022. Exemptions will only be granted to those who are unable to get vaccinated due to medical reasons. The age from which people will be required to get the vaccine has yet to be determined.

To properly coerce Austrians into taking the experimental and deadly COVID-19 vaccine, the government is preparing to fine people up to 3,600 euros ($4,079) for remaining unvaccinated. The fine will increase to 7,200 euros ($8,150) for those who have already been fined twice.

Once the vaccine mandate goes into effect next year, authorities will first offer people who have not taken the vaccine an appointment to get their first doses. Penalties will be placed on people who reject the offer.

COVID-19 booster vaccines will also be made mandatory. According to Minister for the Constitution Karoline Edtstadler, fully vaccinated Austrians who refuse to take booster doses will be fined up to 1,500 euros ($1,700). “The plan is not only for people to take the first shot but that they really make it to full immunization,” said Edtstadler.

The timing of all of this is too conspicuous to be coincidence. Kurz gets hit with trumped up charges that his party feels are so easy to debunk, they keep him as party leader and fully expect to reinstate him as state leader soon. Schallenberg steps in temporarily and enacts vaccine mandates that now seem to be the roadmap being used by other European countries.

Both announce their resignations shortly afterwards, leaving room for a brand new person to take charge of the country as they transition into totalitarian mandates.

This all seems like the machinations of the powers-that-be, using Austria and their popular conservative leaders to blaze the path towards a completely segregated society in which those who choose to remain unjabbed are ostracized, fined, and eventually imprisoned. And while all this happens in Europe with similar activities occurring in Australia, the authoritarians in the U.S. government are watching closely at the reactions.

If you ever want to know the Democrats’ goals, just watch what happens in Europe.

The World Health Organization has questioned the UK government’s decision to roll out hundreds of millions of booster jabs to its population, asserting there is “no evidence” they would offer “greater protection” to the healthy.

UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid’s says the country has secured an additional 114 million vaccine doses for 2022 and 2023 to “buy time” and that everyone over the age of 18 will be offered one by the end of January.

Dr. Mike Ryan, head of the WHO’s emergencies program, questioned the logic behind this decision.

“Right now, there is no evidence that I’m aware of that would suggest that boosting the entire population would necessarily provide any greater protection for otherwise healthy individuals against hospitalization and death,” he said.

Ryan also noted that the UK was in a “luxurious position” of being able to offer booster shots to its entire population given that many poorer countries don’t even have even vaccines to give all their people one dose.

UK medical authorities have also seized upon the Omicron variant to insist that more children receive vaccines.

This is odd given that the variant has become noted for only causing “mild” symptoms in younger populations.

Experts argue that dismissing Omicron as “mild” is dangerous because South Africa has a very young population (average age 27) and we don’t know how it will impact older people.

They then say the solution is to vaccinate more younger people.

Makes total sense.

People living in the nation of Mozambique along the southern coast of Africa woke up to pretty surprising news this week, not a ton has been happening in Mozambique in recent years, but this really rattled them a little bit. The Biden administration informed the people of Mozambique in a presidential proclamation supposedly signed by Biden himself that they are no longer allowed in the United States. It's nothing personal. It's omicron, the new COVID variant that has been used to justify lockdowns around the world. The problem is the confusion came from the fact that there was no omicron at the time in Mozambique. There wasn’t a single reported case of it in the country when the proclamation was signed.

So it's possible that one of the equity hires at the White House confused Mozambique with Botswana, where the other day two people may possibly have died of omicron. Either way, Mozambique and Botswana don't even share a border, so people in Mozambique were highly confused and probably a little hurt. Today, Tony Fauci, who is the person, of course, who signed off on this travel ban, was asked about this by an African reporter. You know, Fauci replied, That's a good question. An important question. And then Fauci didn't answer it or even hint at an answer.

So as of right now, we still don't know why there is a White House travel ban on Mozambique.

Presumably, the answer is because it's in Africa and Africa is where all of this started. Just a few days ago, when the head of the South African Medical Association, a physician called Angelique Coetzee, noted that she had seen patients with a new variant of the coronavirus. Within hours of her, saying that politicians in the United States and many other countries began planning elaborate and highly punitive new measures against their own populations.

From her office in Pretoria, Dr. Coetzee watched all of this happen with her jaw open. She was horrified. "I have been stunned at the response," Coetzee wrote this week in a piece for the Daily Mail. "No one here in South Africa is known to have been hospitalized with the Omicron variant, nor has anyone here believed to have fallen seriously ill with it." In other words, omicron, whatever it is, is far less dangerous than pretty much everything else that's currently going on in South Africa at the moment. But it didn't matter.

By this point. The Biden administration had stopped listening to Dr. Angelique Coetzee. They'd gotten what they needed from her, and they moved on.

So here's Tony Fauci today announcing that the terrifying scourge of omicron has reached our shores:

DR. FAUCI: The recent case of COVID 19 among an individual in California was caused by the omicron variant. The individual was fully vaccinated and experienced mild symptoms, which are improving at this point.

OK, so let's just parse this just for a moment. A fully vaccinated person in California has omicron and is doing fine. So what can we conclude rationally from this?

Well, obviously the most stringent COVID restrictions in the country are not stopping the spread. Masking, social distancing, nonstop anxiety, talking about COVID from dawn to dusk.

None of it worked, and the vaccines didn't work, either. The patient in California had two injections and still got omicron. So maybe the lesson here is viruses are very hard to stop. Sometimes they're virtually impossible to stop because they spread with remarkable efficiency.

In the case of coronaviruses, they live in animals, so they're never going away, ever. No matter what. They don't tell you that, but it's true.

So given all of those facts, it's possible we'll be better off working on medicines to keep those viruses from killing vulnerable people. That seems like a rational approach to the problem, and yet is the one thing the Biden administration is completely uninterested in doing. No interest whatsoever in doing that.

Instead, Biden announced today that the lesson he is drawing from the harmless infection of a fully vaccinated person in the state of California is that this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated.

They're the ones to blame for it, not the Chinese government which likely created this virus and has definitely profited from it immensely. No, no, no. Omicron and COVID more broadly said the president, are the direct responsibility of the 20% of the adult American population, many of whom have natural immunity, who have resisted submitting to his injections, and they must be crushed for that.

Now, this one is hardly worth explaining how far from legitimate science this is. It's nonsense.

It's actually demented. But more than that, it is dangerous. On the basis of no demonstrated threat to public health whatsoever, the Biden administration is once again locking down the country and persecuting its perceived political opponents, otherwise known as the unvaccinated.

So you have to ask yourself, when will this end? Viruses mutate constantly. That's their nature. Will every new omicron variant mean massive, new and unconstitutional powers for our political class? That's what is meant so far.

This is a cycle, and it's not a cycle that any democracy can survive. You'd think some of the media might point this out. What are the limits here? No. Instead, they're making certain you're as terrified as Joe Biden wants you to be.

It's a threat they repeat over and over. It's almost like it's a script they're reading. Meanwhile, the Biden administration says it may force everyone entering the country, even American citizens, even people who are vaccinated, to enter some kind of mandatory quarantine when they get here. In their own country quarantine.

Now that's, of course, assuming they arrive legally. Biden voters who sneak through over the Mexican border, as always, are exempt from all rules no vaccination, no quarantine, just endless benefits and broad smiles.

Leana Wen, the former Planned Parenthood ghoul you so often see on CNN talking about health, recently explained that thanks to omicron "there should be mandatory quarantine and post-arrival testing for all international travelers, as well as additional impetus for vaccination and boosters."

Huh? Quarantine, mandatory quarantine for American citizens in their own country. Additional impetus for more vaccines.

What does that mean, exactly? Well, we're not sure we can guess. We do know, among other things, it means a lot more spying on you. The CDC director explained the CDC is now a kind of intelligence agency.

ROCHELLE WALENSKY: Currently, CDC is expanding a surveillance program with an express check to JFK, San Francisco, Newark and Atlanta airports, four of the busiest international airports in the country. This program allows for increased COVID testing for specific international arrivals, increasing our capacity to identify those with COVID-19 on arrival to the United States, and enhancing our surveillance for the omicron variant. Thanks to our updated travel policies earlier this month, we are also actively working with the airlines to collect passenger information that can be used by CDC and local public health jurisdictions to enhance contact tracing and post-arrival follow-up should a case be identified in the traveler.

Now keep in mind, she has no demonstrated record of success in anything. This is a former college professor who, since taking over the CDC, has seen more Americans die of COVID than died under the last CDC director. That looks like failure.

But in Washington, it's rewarded, because success and failure are not actually the measurements that matter in Washington, political loyalty is and Rochelle Walensky is a loyal Democrat.

So she's being rewarded with the powers of an intelligence agency. She’ll now be "collecting passenger information" as part of a domestic surveillance operation at major airports. There was never a vote on this. Nobody asked you whether you were for it.

This is again the CDC director, who's somehow nationalized America's rental properties, she's going to be spying on you.

We don't need to wonder about that because we've got Australia as an example. Consider this from an Australian newscast this morning. The anchor announced the breaking news of the day, which is the escape of three inmates – Australian citizens – from a COVID concentration camp.

Police are saying reports around 4:40 a.m. Now, Major police checkpoints have been set up around Howard Springs for the past several hours. As you can see in these pictures, they've been conducting thorough searches in car boots, checking vehicle registrations, cars and busses alike.

So that's not a third-world country, that's Australia, which until 20 minutes ago seemed very much like America, maybe slightly more exotic and charming, but not so different, really same culture, same language, same basis of its legal system.

In case you're wondering, doesn't seem like any of these escapees actually have COVID. There's no other evidence they were infecting anybody. But it didn't matter. They're supposed to be behind bars now they're not, so police set up roadblocks, checkpoints brought in the dogs. It’s a democracy. Doesn’t seem very healthy.

It's not just Australia, by the way. In Austria, authorities have stopped people on the street and are demanding to see their COVID papers. In Canada, unvaccinated citizens who have been banned from planes or trains in their own country, not because they've tested positive for COVID and are infecting people, but simply because they haven't taken the injection that the prime minister demands they take. Whether or not they have natural immunity, that's irrelevant. It's about obedience. That's Canada.

This is where we're heading, and we're heading there very, very fast. As the Democratic Party comes closer to certain defeat a year from now in the midterms, all of this will intensify. That's the whole point of it. It's how they won last time. And so they're doing it again.

Omicron, not a single person is in the hospital in South Africa because of omicron. And yet that's the pretext upon which the CDC has just assumed surveillance powers. You don't need to be a genius to connect the dots here.

But there aren’t a ton of geniuses running the Republican Party, apparently. They still don't seem to understand what is happening. Listen to them and they talk like this is about a virus. But somebody needs to push back. Maybe it'll take a new party, a civil rights party, to stop our descent toward actual tyranny.

But make no mistake, unless someone stops it very soon, it is coming.

Half a dozen Republicans refused to provide documentation of vaccination or a negative test, according to NJ.com. Assemblyman Erik Peterson (R-Hunterdon) said, “This is tyranny, folks,” and added, “They’re not letting the minority party vote.”

“Liberty is dying right here on the floor,” said Assemblyman Hal Wirths (R-Sussex) per Nj.com

“I know you’re just doing your jobs. But this is horseshit,” said Republican state Sen. Holly Schepisi as she showed her vaccine card to gain entry to the senate chambers, NJ.com reports.

Following a fifteen-minute stalemate, troopers informed Brian Bergen (R-Morris) that they would not restrain the lawmakers if they entered, according to NJ.com. Bergen shared with his fellow Assembly members that the troopers would not “physically restrain us” and added, “We can just walk past them.”

Speaker Craig Coughlin reportedly threatened to have the assembly members, who did not comply with the order, removed from the chambers. Assemblywoman and Deputy Republican Whip Serena DiMaso tweeted, “** UPDATE** Speaker Coughlin has said that if we do not vacate the chambers in two hours we will be physically removed and/or carried out. @NJGOP @NJAssemblyGOP standing strong!”

Scientists find trigger for rare AstraZeneca clots

Scientists believe they have found "the trigger" that leads to extremely rare blood clots after the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid vaccine.

The team - in Cardiff and the US - have shown in exquisite detail how a protein in the blood is attracted to a key component of the vaccine.

They think this kicks off a chain reaction, involving the immune system, that can culminate in dangerous clots.

The vaccine is thought to have saved about a million lives from Covid.

However, concerns about rare blood clots shaped how the vaccine has been used around the world including an alternative being offered to the under-40s in the UK.

It also started a scientific detective hunt to figure out what was going on and if it could be prevented. The Cardiff team were given emergency government funding to find the answers.

AstraZeneca's own scientists also joined the research project after earlier results from the team were published.

A spokeswoman for AstraZeneca stressed that clots were more likely to occur because of a Covid infection than the vaccine, and that the complete explanation for why they occur had not yet been established.

"Although the research is not definitive, it offers interesting insights and AstraZeneca is exploring ways to leverage these findings as part of our efforts to remove this extremely rare side effect," she added.

There were two initial clues for the researchers investigating the rare blood clots:

• The greater risk of clots was seen only with some of the vaccine technologies
• People with clots had unusual antibodies that were attacking a protein in their blood called platelet factor four

The vaccines used in the UK all try to deliver a snippet of the Covid-virus's genetic code into the body to train the immune system.

Some package that code up inside spheres of fat, while the AstraZeneca one used an adenovirus (specifically a common cold virus from chimpanzees) as its microscopic postman.

The researchers thought the adenovirus might be linked to the rare clots occurring in some people. So they used a technique called cryo-electron microscopy to take images of the adenovirus in molecular-level detail.

Their study, published in the journal Science Advances, reveals the outer surface of the adenovirus attracts the platelet factor four protein to it like a magnet.

Prof Alan Parker, one of the researchers at Cardiff University, told BBC News: "The adenovirus has an extremely negative surface, and platelet factor four is extremely positive and the two things fit together quite well."

He added: "We've been able to prove the link between the key smoking guns of adenoviruses and platelet factor four.

"What we have is the trigger, but there's a lot of steps that have to happen next."

The researchers think the next stage is "misplaced immunity", but this needs to be confirmed in further research.

It is thought the body starts to attack platelet factor four after confusing it for part of the foreign adenovirus to which it is stuck. So antibodies are released into the blood, which clump together with platelet factor four and trigger the formation of dangerous blood clots.

However, this requires a series of unlucky events, which could explain why the clots are so rare.

These clots, known as vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia, have been linked to 73 deaths out of nearly 50 million doses of AstraZeneca given in the UK.

"You could never have predicted it would have happened and the chances are vanishingly small, so we need to remember the bigger picture of the number of lives this vaccine has saved," said Prof Parker.

AstraZeneca said the vaccine is thought to have saved more than a million lives around the world and prevented 50 million cases of Covid.

The University of Oxford declined to comment on the research.

Dr Will Lester, a consultant haematologist at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust, praised the "very detailed" research saying it helps explain the "most likely initial step" in clotting.

He added: "Many questions still remain unanswered, including whether some people may be more susceptible than others and why the thrombosis (clotting) is most commonly in the veins of the brain and liver, but this may come with time and further research."

The Cardiff team hope their findings can be used to improve adenovirus-based vaccines in the future to reduce the risk of these rare events.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Louisiana U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty blocked a federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers on Tuesday.

The ruling by Judge Doughty follows Missouri US District Judge Matthew Schelp’s ruling on Monday that blocked mandates in 10 states.

Judge Doughty pointed out all of the illogical and irrational contradictions in the mandate. “If boosters are needed six months after being “fully vaccinated,” then how good are the COVID-19 vaccines, and why is it necessary to mandate them?” says Judge Doughty in his ruling.

The complainant provided evidence based on Dr. Peter A. McCullough’s declaration, “The COVID-19 vaccines do not prevent transmission of the disease among the vaccinated or mixed vaccinated/unvaccinated populations – mandatory COVID-19 vaccines for hospitals do not increase safety for employees or hospital patients. McCullough declared that additional treatment with other drugs and supplements has resulted in an 85% reduction in hospitalizations and death of high-risk individuals presenting with COVID-19.”

Dr. McCullough revealed the current vaccines also don’t adequately cover the Delta variants.

The Gateway Pundit also published an article in which the New England Journal of Medicine explains how COVID vaccines may produce spike proteins that may lead to myocarditis and neurological concerns.

“In other words, even if you are fully vaccinated, you still may become infected with the COVID-19 virus,” Judge Doughty’s ruling said.

“Although CMS spent pages and pages attempting to explain the need for mandatory COVID-19 vaccines, when infection and hospitalizations rates are dropping, millions of people have already been infected, developing some form of natural immunity, and when people who have been fully vaccinated still become infected, mandatory vaccines as the only method of prevention make no sense,” the ruling continued.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID response team published a study on medRxiv – a collaborative project jointly run by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Yale University, and BMJ, a global healthcare knowledge provider – concluded that there is no significant difference in transmission potential of vaccinated and unvaccinated persons infected with the COVID-19 “Delta variant” in federal prison during an outbreak between July to August 2021.

Evidence indicating COVID-19 is a designed bioweapon with a toxic structure that may be replicated in vaccines

A previous Gateway Pundit article identified two “smoking guns” supporting the conclusion that COVID-19 was created in a laboratory.

First, a de facto scientific recipe for the laboratory creation of COVID-19 was described in the 2018 research grant application to the U.S. Department of Defense’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) submitted by scientists who directly collaborated with the “bat woman” Zheng-Li Shi of the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The research proposal explicitly states that bat coronaviruses, collected in southern China by the Wuhan Institute of Virology, would be isolated and genetically sequenced, particularly the spike proteins, which are the binding elements initiating infection.

It was further proposed that spike proteins demonstrating “high risk” for human infection would be artificially combined with other bat coronavirus “backbones,” creating entirely new and potentially dangerous coronaviruses.

The second smoking gun in the DARPA grant application was the artificial insertion of furin polybasic cleavage sites, short sequences of amino acids e.g. proline-arginine-arginine-alanine or PRRA, long-known to increase infectivity and lethality of coronaviruses.

The enzyme furin is ubiquitous in the human body, found in multiple organ systems including lungs, heart, kidneys, brain and blood vessels.

The PRRA sequence found in COVID-19, does not exist in any of hundreds of close bat coronaviruses relatives from which COVID-19 could have evolved.

The 2018 DARPA research application proposed to artificially insert furin polybasic cleavage sites, like PRRA, into low-risk bat coronaviruses and then testing the ability of those laboratory-created viruses to infect human cells.

That application was ultimately rejected by DARPA because it involved dangerous “gain of function” experiments creating new human-infecting viruses, which also have the potential for dual use as bioweapons.

It is important to note that the section of the COVID-19 genetic code (CGG-CGG) that produces the “RR” segment of the PRRA sequence is extremely rare.

The two tandem CGG codons do not appear anywhere else in the COVID-19 genetic code, nor does it exist in that context in any close bat coronavirus relative of COVID-19.

Thus, CGG-CGG is a unique marker both as an indicator of its laboratory origin and its potential role as a designed feature of the disease process.

According to a 2020 scientific article, the COVID-19 furin polybasic cleavage site (PRRA) and its surrounding structures may be far more toxic than first realized.

The approximately 20 amino acids surrounding COVID-19’s furin polybasic cleavage site possess sequence and structural elements comparable to those of Staphylococcal enterotoxin B (SEB).

SEB acts as a “superantigen” and immune system activator stimulating the release large amounts of cytokines, often called “cytokine storm” and capable of producing multi-organ hyperinflammation similar to toxic shock syndrome.

The authors also state that COVID-19 mutations strengthen its “superantigen” character.

As a confirmation of those observations, the same authors demonstrated that monoclonal antibodies directed against Staphylococcal enterotoxin B “superantigen” inhibit the entry of the COVID-19 virus into cultured cells.

It may be no accident that China’s People’s Liberation Army’s Third Military Medical University has done extensive research on SEB and “superantigens,” because that center has been implicated in the creation of COVID-19 and is associated with the recent monoclonal antibody “cure” announced for COVID-19.

Caution, therefore, is warranted regarding mandating COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, which initiate the synthesis of spike protein inside the human body and may replicate the toxic structures introduced into COVID-19, potentially becoming a causative factor in organ inflammation.

A scientific abstract published on November 8, 2021 concludes that the mRNA vaccines:

“dramatically increase inflammation on the endothelium and T cell infiltration of cardiac muscle and may account for the observations of increased thrombosis, cardiomyopathy, and other vascular events following vaccination.”

Finally, it may be purely coincidental that Moderna, a biotechnology company that produces a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine, holds a patent (US 10,501,513 B2), filed on February 7, 2017, describing “protein cleavage” sites and including a complementary genetic sequence matching that for the furin polybasic cleavage site found in COVID-19.
