RACE WAR Salvation Army wants white donors to offer a "sincere apology" for their racism

This could also spillover into fewer White volunteers to ring the bell.

Locally I've seen where an entire grade school class will stand inside of
a roped off area at Walmart, cheering, jumping, very happy little White kids
receiving donations and placing into the red pot. I would spread the money
out to many different extended eager hands.

Now I have to walk by without leaving a cent.

This same psychotic bowing to the god of woke has taken place in executive suites throughout the once free world.

Detached and isolated executives get these idea’s in wine and cheese parties in exclusive gated communities where private security protects them from seeing or experiencing the repercussions of their decisions.

The only voice of veto we the people have is to send the only message they see. Red numbers on a spreadsheet. My recent tire purchase my no longer purchasing Coke and my decision to pass on the kettle all previous traditions are the only message that the morons will see.

Really the ultimate vote you have is the ability to buy or not buy.

Need to read more in the thread. Original article appeared in "Newsweek", which is secular. And they have been reporting on this for several months. It's just now coming to our attention.

It's good to be cautious about news articles, but also need to watch and see if someone has already done the leg work on it. Because you ain't the only one that is cautious about articles.
I'm glad you said something; you've got a good head on your shoulders so it's gratifying to note your comment. I had noted the same but still wonder about the agenda. Copycat reporting seems to be the essence of journalism at the moment, doesn't it?

I'm cautious about articles which jolt me emotionally no matter their source. To me, it just makes them part of the "outrage machine" - which is so prevalent nowadays - regardless of its particular point of view and that's not productive. Besides, things like that never lead to solutions until someone with a logical frame of mind can think through the effects. I find that doing some "extra credit" homework clears away some of the emotional dross which was implanted by the original piece. Usually, that leads to a bit more discernment. The dominant marketplace weekly magazines drove me away over the years. First was Time, then Newsweek and finally even US News & World Report. My ultimate finishing boot was applied to the Economist and now I have no more emotionally-driven "news" stimuli coming into the house via mail, anyways lol.

Someone else doing the legwork doesn't much work for me, as I often wonder what their particular agenda might be. Heck, I have my own agenda, I reckon - a set of filters which offer me a comfortable paradigm in which to exist. Knowing that they're there, though, helps me to get out of the comfort zone where some actual learning can happen.

You're right that these people certainly seem to exist in the same goldfish bowl if not geographic regions - wanting to see and be seen at fashionable soirées.

Xu questioned why the traditionally a-political Salvation Army would begin to promote such political and racial ideologies to begin with

TSA is an international organization. I am not supporting their decision to do this in this post. And, no, they will not get any of my money in the future.

However, as an international organization they almost have to do this or be legally attacked in EU countries as well as the changing USA. I went back to the OP and clicked through the links there. The offensive document clearly states that the contents of the document were not a policy or position of the TSA but presented as a discussion tool. I think they were trying to walk the razor's edge and failed.

The situation with the TSA is different than other corporations, but they were probably affected by the same forces to do this stupid shit. Too bad they didn't hold their head high and just ignore the woke.

Nothing says Christmas like calling Santa a racist.

Nothing says Christmas like criticizing God for the color of skin He chose to give people! We didn't make ourselves with light or dark or medium-brown skin! We are created by God, just the way He wants us to be, and for a Christian organization to suggest that people ought to apologize for being the way God made them is blasphemy, in my opinion.

Congratulations, Kathleen; you've just summarized wokeness to its very essence.

My dear mother use to give to the Salvation Army at Christmas. After she died I continued to give in her memory.
I will no longer give to them. Like others, my family fought in the Civil War against slavery.

I believe all people are created equal by God and that Jesus died for all. I remember back to my second year of college ( 1969) by roommate was a black girl. We were close friends. She came to my home for a weekend visit. My parents treated her like any other friend I had. On Sunday at church I introduced her to my pastor ( our church was running around 800 in attendance) and I told him Sherry had a beautiful voice. He asked her to sing a special and she did. The church family gave her a warm welcome.

This CRT needs to stop!

THE SALVATION ARMY INTERNATIONAL POSITIONAL STATEMENT ON RACISM
Racism is the belief that races have distinctive cultural characteristics determined by heredi- tary factors and that this endows some races with an intrinsic superiority over others. ‘Racism’ also refers to political or social programmes built on that belief. The use of the term ‘race’ itself is contested, but is generally used to refer to a distinct group sharing a common ethnicity, na- tional origin, descent and/or skin colour. The Salvation Army denounces racism in all forms.

So … whites are the “racists” ( determined by skin color) that need to denounce themselves. These people are that stupid. It’s going to suck when the white racists stop giving them money. His very statement above …. IS RACIST

Dang I must be dumb as a post. I didn't know they paid those bell ringers. I thought it was so nice for them to DONATE their time for a good cause. I know I did, when I was young. Need more eyes wide open.
In your neck of the woods, Cary, your bell ringers might be mostly volunteers.

But in Memphis where I am at, the largest proportion of them are paid minimum wage. Alot of them live in the Army’s housing or receive other benefits from SA, and this is a chance for them to EARN some money to help themselves and their families.

That is why I will hold back my contributions to SA, but will do so reluctantly.

I feel we MUST take a stand against CRT - this is getting out of hand, and CRT is getting to the point where it is hurting Americans of ALL RACES.

No better example of how CRT will hurt blacks and other minority groups than this right here.

No person of ANY RACE should ever be bullied or forced to take claim to things they did not do. We are each accountable for our own actions, and not for the actions of others.

This is an apprpriate time, place and method to take a stand against the highly devisive CRT.

However, I do it reluctantly, because many innocents will be hurt by the lack of funds being donated to SA.

Do the poor - of ALL RACES - really need to suffer because of SA’s sudden woke transformation?

We can still donate to color blind organizations that service the same folks.

Several have already mentioned local food banks.

Lots of local charities still operate on the basis of color blindness and love for all of God’s children, no matter what their color.

We can use other, local charities, to help get our dollars and volunteer servive hours to those of all races who are in need.

Yeah..before I cut them off completely, I want to wait to hear the official response from the org. The timing is such (right before Christmas and their biggest fund raising season?) that IF somebody, for some reason, wanted to do a hit on them, it would be primo.

Also, personally, I would never rag on the individual bell-ringers at the door. At least around here, (N MN) most are simple volunteers standing out there freezing their bunz off, trying to do some good for a few hours, or teach their kids something.
I would add that an effective demonstration of contrition by the SA should ALSO include:

1) scuttling ANYTHING to do with wokeness, including any leadership/management personnel who support such - and return to their founder's intentions.

2) open, auditable books. 'Nuff said - this is key.

While mostly in agreement,.....

I happen to notice the nearly all the bell ringers in Tupelo are black, whether that is from a good heart, or minimum wage, and those in the little town south of us are nearly all white, for the same reasons????

Just saying.

I don't care what color a human is, if they need it I'll help them. Obviously the sack of shits at S.A. don't have the same principals.

I quit going to Target many years ago because they wouldn't allow SA kettles out front. I have always given to them but not now. Valley Rescue Mission here in my area does a lot for homeless and drug addicted people. I may give to them instead once I make sure they aren't spouting all this nonsense.

I would rather donate to a local pregnancy crisis center (helping women save and care for their babies), or a local food bank helping local people. If we all took care of those in need in our own communities, we wouldn't need the big international organizations. The young people at some of the churches we've gone to would mow lawns and do yard work for elderly people. The men (mostly retired) from our last two churches have helped elderly and poor people with either repairing old housing, or building new (we had church members in Oregon who were living in their vehicles, on SS -- they'd been able to pay a few thousand dollars for a couple of acres of high desert land, but didn't have enough to build something to live in. And then the fire came through and some lost even the vehicles they'd been living in). That's the kind of local charity that works the best -- help people you know, where you can be sure they are in real need and not scam artists.

Vox Day has an interesting take on this story from his Christian view point.

"The main reason racism cannot be a sin is because in the Bible, both God and Jesus Christ speak in a manner that is clearly and observably racist by every modern usage of the term. So, either God and Jesus Christ are capable of sin and have sin in them, or racism cannot be a sin."

"Which is it, Churchians?"

"Furthermore, we are told that we shall judge things “by their fruit”. And what have the consequences of multiple generations of a fixation on racism and the attempts to eliminate it been, for both the world and for the Church?"

When we got that stimulus money my wife said she was going to donate hers to the Senior Citizens Center and asked me if I wanted to do that also. I told her that that organization was pretty flush here. I told her to get it in cash and carry it around, I am sure you will run into some young family that could use it. So, she did but I have no idea where it went.

"There are an estimated 2.2 billion Christians in the world, or, approx. 1/3rd of the global population – a steady percentage for several decades."

I wonder what the Salvation Army is doing to help those Christians who are being slaughtered and sold into slavery TODAY in the Islamic world?

check out Mercy chefs. they do a lot of work after natural disasters feeding folks in the affected areas. also samaritan's purse I have heard is a good organization.

Operation BBQ Relief is another good group that goes in and feeds people after natural disasters. I know they've been on Fox News a few times.

I agree don't rag on the bell ringers. Just hand them a copy of the newsweek article and lrt them make their own decision. I know here the majority of bell ringers are volunteers, not paid employees or contractors. And the bell ringers are usually older white people.

The difference is that God does not have a carnal mind as men do. He chooses whom he will and blesses whom he will and in the old testament it was the physical jews he choose to bless and in the new testament God has chosen primarily from among the Gentiles.

That doesn’t make him a racist with dark and evil intent like men have. In the end all nations and peoples will be blessed and the knowledge of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.

The author of the piece errs gravely and isn’t able to discern flesh from spirit.

Sad…most of my adult life I’ve planned ahead pre-Christmas to tuck 5s, 10s, 20s in my parka pockets to be sure to have something handy to put in the SA pot every (literally every) time I passed one. Until recently (last year or so) I was completely happy to support their work.

Now, especially with this news, not so much.

I feel like we lost a lot with this org joining the woke/blind group :( Yet another milepost passed, I believe….

Wow! One of the very few ministries I thought was on the up and up…

If this is true, they’re dead to me and millions of others…that’s just the way it is…

May the Lord judge between them and those that supported them for years…the same people they’re slandering and insulting!
The woke won't care. They'll gladly apologize.

"DiAngelo and Rogers (Kendi) claim that any observable difference in relative behavior or accomplishment between racial groups is due to the inherent racism of whites, arguing against the traditional American concept of equal opportunity in favor of the Marxist-inspired goal of equality of outcome."

So there you have it, everyone must end up at the same place. Regardless of their efforts or lack thereof.

I thought it was silly when Primary schools started handing out "Participation" ribbons and metals to all.
Nope it was just part of the commie playbook to destroy the concept of competition.

I wonder is that how all the Black Pro athletes and Olympians got their awards? They were gifts by Whites to Black Americans.
