Brother in law will be buried Monday . Covid + pneumonia. 50 years old , several preexisting conditions . Was on a vent for 40 days. Leaves a wife and 2 teenagers.

In the past month I've had 6 family members who were positive , not counting my late BIL.

Did not vote in poll as these are not "current " cases. Late to the party but wanted to add this info.

Lots of people in my area with cold symptoms right now.

I guess I never changed my vote but our youngest just had covid. He is over it already and almost back to normal again. So both our kids (in their 30's) have had it and recovered fine at this point.

Update on dad (Old Gringo). He is still on the vent. Fighting two infections, but fighting well. The vent blew his lung out and he developed a pneumothorax but it is being treated successfully with a chest tube. They are trying to bring him out of sedation and he is opening his eyes and following your finger and squeezing your hand. The nurse states he is still having better days than the day before, so as long as we have forward progress all is good, just takes time.

Two days ago I developed a slight “wet” cough. Not too bad. Today I have chills and body aches. Not too bad. Checked my O2 level before going to work this morning. 94%

But I’ve been taking bromelain, zinc and magnesium for months. Milk gives me the vit D I need. We’ll see where this goes. I’ll be installing my TV remote speakers either tonight or tomorrow. I do have ivermectin, both paste and pills. Not taking it yet.

Not even close! Get your levels checked... given your indoor lifestyle over the last year, I'm betting you are seriously deficient.

Try adding quercitin so that the zinc can get into your cells more easily. Here's one product that has zinc with quercitin -

Feel better!

Seems like we have a dozen threads about that scattered around the board. So, how many?

Myself, my bio son and my step son ages 4 and 16 have not and my 90 year old grandma on my dads side have not have the jabberdoo. My grandma's doctor even strongly suggested against it. My moms side has and my wife has had both modern shots and my grandpa has had both shots and a booster. He is 86 and was all state back in the day. I will be shock if he makes it into March. He didn't look good last weekend when I saw him.

My reason is simple;

I was born with tettrology of fallot which is a whole in the lower left chamber in the heart. in 2000 they was able to induce tacyocardiarythmia in my heart which induced can cause death instantly. So cause of that Ive have had 4 defibs implanted in me 2000, 07, 2010, 2016 along with pulminary valve replacement and two full plate dental extractions along with being diagnosed with 22Q deletion syndrome and with that I could of have many complications which includes a weaken immune system. After doing my do dilegence on the research I will go 6ft under with my soul intact in knowing on not taking these death shots.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers.

The widow who is still sick with covid is okay for now. More family members and friends, those who had contact with the widow and her husband before he died of covid, have tested positive. They are younger, unvaxxed, and having only mild symptoms. The one close contact who was vaccinated has had no symptoms.

Prayers for all who are fighting this Chinese plague.

Praying for your Dad, you and your family, SackLunch. Please tell him people are thinking about him.

Praying for you, Dennis. I was feeling "off" with a bit of a raspy chest the night before last. O2 was 93%. Id been on the fence re ivermectin but decided to bite the bullet. I took the liquid form (1cc) plus a glass of EmergenC - the little powder packets that you add to water, and a glass of pineapple juice. Sprinkled some Olbas oil on my pillows as my nose was also stuffy. The next morning I was back to normal and O2 was 98% - it's usually 96%, so even better than what I'm used to seeing. Going to take a second dose of ivermectin tonight and then a week from now.

Hope you feel better soon. You might want to add extra vitamin D though.

What about Quercetin? That assists the zinc in it's function.

How much milk do you drink? Probably take a lot to get to 5000+ i.u. recommended by many for protection.

Hope it goes well for you, Dennis.

Hubby and I are both 65 yrs. and in good general health. We have had Covid for 5 to 6 days. Followed the Frontline Drs. protocol with ivermectin. Just feeling a bit tired now with a wee bit of cough. Have definitely turned the corner. Highly encourage their protocol and chicken soup!!! Put some in the freezer while you are well.

Update on Dad, (Old Gringo). He has developed two bloodclots, one in each lung, as well as necrotizing pneumonia. The docs think they got it before it did too much damage. On the plus side, he can follow your fingers squeeze your hand on command and shook his head "no" when asked if he was in pain. It is truly day by day, if he can beat this pneumonia would be big for him.

Two of the 3 vax'd; one is a child so not vax'd yet.
1st: 32 yo healthy nurse. Seems to fairing well, so far. Should be fine as she is still weak but not officially active now I guess. Still told to quarantine but that she isn't shedding now.
2nd: 28yo super active, previously healthy. Spent 12 days in hospital (so far), most of those on a ventilator. They also diagnosed him with HLH while he was there because a lot of weird stuff happened while he was hospitalized. I firmly believe if his fiance ( former nurse now teaching) wasn't with him and knew what to watch for and going over the tests himself with a fine tooth comb, kept him alive. He left the local hospital with a terminal diagnosis, so they are trying to get into Cleveland Clinic which is supposed to be the world's best for HLH. He is now 68 on the list. Even though they managed to contact the specialist over that section to review labs and consult with local docs on how to start treatment immediately. There are several links to the covid vax to causing HLH from legit sources but it is getting brushed under the rug.
3rd: 8yo healthy kid, plays sports, spend his summers helping on grandpas farm. At this time he is just tired, achy, and miserable. But it is day 2 so.. we shall see. Also he lives with both parents and 3 siblings (currently only mom is vax'd) . Waiting to see how this plays out.

Wow, that's a bummer at any age, but 28?

It looks like it's not unknown for the vax (in this case AstraZeneca) to trigger HLH.

Owner says he has come up with "Rona."

Test on Saturday confirms his malaise beginning from earlier in the week.

I didn't see him at all on Monday - the wife did the feeding/raking.

On Tuesday he rolled in - but very much under the weather. "At least I don't have a fever today" he said.

The rest of last week each day he was better - but would disappear about mid-afternoon. I could look in the door of his Man-Cave and see his feet up on the desk - I think he was napping.

Finally, Saturday, his wife convinced him to "get the test." Owner HAS been vaccinated. He comes back POSITIVE.

Owner will be quarantined until Tuesday, which will be 10 days from the start of symptoms (CDC guidelines.)

Yesterday (Sunday) was his first day "out and about" and doing something. He worked most of the afternoon but as soon as it got dark (Eastern Standard Time) he was done and went inside.

Today he got a late start - but he has done the "daily" around here.

I guess you could say he's "Rallying."

Reading through this and it is crushing. I looked for healing prayers and wish I could put the strongest words that go through the roof to heaven and make the loudest noise for even all the angels to pray for all here and families to be well.

Lord Jesus Christ, Savior and consoler of our weakness, who delivered Peter’s mother-in-law and the ruler’s son from a high fever; who restored strength to the paralytic, cleansed the lepers, healed the centurion’s servant; who saved the woman suffering from hemorrhage, raised up the man lying helpless on his pallet at the pool of Bethsaida, went about the towns and villages healing all kinds of ailments … may the sick … be freed from their illness and restored in body and mind, and may rightly see fit to praise your power until the end of their days; you who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.

When In Doubt, Throttle Out!
My son (24 yrs old) tested positive back in April of 2021. Said he felt like he had a bad head cold. Got the jab near the end of April and said that made him feel worse than the original 'sickness'. LOL. But, got the jab on a Saturday afternoon, went racing motorcycles on Sunday . . . although he did say he had little energy (and his results showed it - HA!).

My daughter's significant other tested positive back in fall of 2020 - as did her significant other's mother. My daughter works in hospital, so was forced to take the jab. To my knowledge, she's never tested positive.

My wife has been jabbed (she travels for a living) and been tested twice; never positive.

I refuse the jab - and the testing (my employer is forcing both - one or the other, get the jab or submit to eternal weekly testing . . . some how I talked them into keeping me and letting me work from home [makes me feel wanted and/or needed I guess - LOL]) . . . so, who knows. But I'm alive and kicking (and still full of piss and vinegar!). LOL

Anywho, just thought I'd add this personal experience.

Update on Owner.

He's still "rallying." Yesterday was pretty normal for him with work on a replacement roof for the chicken pen. He worked all day assisted at least in part by our current short stretch of "warmer" weather.

He's still hacking - somewhat. His 10 day quarantine period ends today but CDC guidelines extend the quarantine conditionally depending on "symptoms." Owner has talked about getting more "rough sawns" which he may yet do.

Owner during his convalescence has referenced Noah Webster a couple of times. Webster seemingly was afflicted during his creation of the Dictionary, and spent upwards of over six months in recovery - time which he took to work on and refine his Dictionary.

In those non-antibiotic days it was not unusual for those infected or ill to undergo a long convalescence.

Owner's comment - "Lets get over this already - I don't have time or interest to write a Dictionary."

I read a book years ago and probably fiction and all I remember was this man who was recovering from some illness and he would sit in a chair in the sun with his feet in the ocean and he ate fresh tomatoes and he got stronger and stronger. I have no idea why I remember only that part, but in the book it did not seem unusual for him to be going through this long period of recovery. Now people are going back to work and expected to be the same. My chiropractor told me that his patients that had covid and recovered have lots of problems and it is going to take some time to recover. One woman never had high blood pressure and after covid her blood pressure has sky rocketed. I asked if vaccinated and he said no.

Hubby and I have it. I think, although Hubby says I just hate her, we got it from his mom on Sunday going to church. We drove her twice, morning and evening service and she was hacking and coughing a ton. She, my MIL, is also positive.

Our adult child who lives with us and just got her nursing degree this May and works the COVID floor has been vaccinated. Not sure if she will get it. She is avoiding us. She already thinks we're super stupid for not doing the vaccine.

Daughter, SIL and GD have all tested positive this week. Both adults vac’d. They spent last weekend with us on the mtn and the whole business started this monday, fever and coughs. Wife and I are fine but were forced to cancel out of a family affair we have been looking forward too for a year. Lots of tears in this house this week.
