It's gonna hurt but he MUST do the PT. My grandmother fell and broke her hips in her 50's and spent the rest of her life laying in a bed. She watched TV and he mind slipped away as did her legs.
He is currently in the hospital having gone through 4 hours of reconstructive surgery on his right hip/pelvis. He will not be posting anything until he returns home. Prayers requested for full recovery in health and finances. Thanks
If you are worried about costs your insurance doesn't cover, make sure you check into your hospital's *charity* payments. They should have one. Call their billing dept. I had to do that twice, saving $1,500 each time. Do it after the bill comes.
Praying for Publius, you, the surgeon, as little pain as possible, and finances. As MzKitty said make sure to talk to their billing department once you receive the bill.
Didn't pay attenton to that "Do not try this at home" warning?
Seriously, prayers up for all your earthly needs. No pain; no gain. Do the PT. You will be so happy you did. The body is a machine. Pain is part of the wonderous process to make things whole again.
I had the pleasure of meeting Publius in person back ten or twelve years ago at a gathering of TB2K members from the Mid-Atlantic region. He is a top shelf guy.
Hoping he gets back on his feet and on his motorcycle soon.
This is why as a father I give my kids these simple rules …no bleeding, no breaking, no coughing, no sneezing and don’t do dumb things. Oh yeah and if you do dumb things don’t get caught.
It saves a lot of hassles if they would just listen
My right hip was broken when I took a fall in a parking lot, I twisted to keep from smashing my beloved grandson. Broke the femoral ball right in half. Now there's an implant thats not the best, but, ya do what ya have to to. Best wishes for him!
