Oddly, I couldn't sleep last night so I went hunting stories on another site & found a couple of related new ones. Great huh?
I got as far as the protagonist being identified as:
1. ex SpecForces (branch not known).
2. recipient in-theatre of a Dear John & granted a speedy release from service by some magical break.
3. asked to provide cover for a friend's SIL (Gorgeous & 'smells good') who he is completely simpatico with; of course they're a committed couple in 5-6 pages.
4. happy owner of a couple of thousand acres in the Big Sky foothills by virtue of an inheritance from a deceased comrade in arms and guess what? It not only has a gold mine on it, its a monster seam of gold; not nuggets or placer but a seam! Like need to fund some prep upgrades? Just go chip off a few lbs of material & smelt her down!!
A freaking gold mine in his basement!!
I came to my senses & returned to TB2K earlier today. It's good to be home w/ some real writers.
Sorry for the interruption.
