When I wear my cap identifying me as a military veteran, I occasionally get a "Thank you" from a passerby. These are mostly from older citizens. There seems to be a decrease in these acknowledgements as age decreases. Of course the younger folk don't remember the "Great America" in which I grew up or what it took to keep it great.
But the point I want to make in this post is that no matter what the age, I have never received a "Thank you" from a Latino immigrant or one of the many Indians who are now monopolizing the hotel and convenience store businesses. If it were not for those who fought to preserve our freedoms, these people would not be able to come to our country so freely.
