BRKG Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore has collapsed

Are you sure about that?

Is there a legal avenue for that funding? It is of national importance, so honestly there may be. My concern is oversight.

That is, will $10 billion be spent on a $500 million bridge? And will it be used in the 2024 campaign for Biden?

Neither here nor there.

There probably is for certain types of infrastructure. As to the siphoning of billions to the biden campaign? Remember to pay the man his 10%!

Absolutely and that's just for starters.

Dropping the port anchor looks like it did pivot the ship aft to port moving the starboard anchor area into the bridge. No control.

And the bridge will be renamed by congress to the" Joe Biden" bridge.
There is no more "Rescue". The chances of that were over within an hour.

This event might prompt building a tunnel instead of a replacement bridge. Tunnel boring machines have changed the tunnel building game and agencies/companies affected by losing the Port of Baltimore will demand a tunnel instead of a bridge.

I foresee the Navy to be screaming very loudly that they don't want another bridge in that location.

To be honest I don't think the Navy would care one way or the other. As far as I know there is only one very small Navy reserve base on the other side of the river (they call it Curtis Creek) from the Coast Guard base. The Navy used to have some sort of ship docked there but I haven't seen it in years. It was big enough that they had to shut down I-695 at the Curtis Creek drawbridge though - cuz I've been stuck there waiting on it to pass. So I don't think there is any Navy concern one way or the other. And the water in the area are probably deep enough for any Coast Guard ship - even the Cutter that is stationed there.

This is another problem.

Cruise lines are going to have to go to a different port and fly these people all to Baltimore.

Red arrow is the cruise pier.

I spoke to a US Navy Vet, who was a navigation specialist.

He shared some interesting facts with me… He says once a ship like that loses power, it loses nearly all ability to steer. And definitely not enough to steer off the way it did.

He believes it was intentional.

He also shared that there are roughly 40-100 vessels that were immediately impacted about to make port in Baltimore that no longer can; which will now have to be rerouted to Hampton Roads, Virginia.
The Port of Virginia.

This poses immediate security and safety concerns as now that port will be severely overwhelmed for what is believed to be several months, at least.

It’s a logistical nightmare and we’re talking backlogged shipments of various items, so it’s not immediately known what supplies chains could be impacted.

But not just that… port authority will also have to have their ears to the ground for potential dangers inside the containers. The dirty kind. We’ve all had that gut feeling that things will severely intensify this year.

Pray for our country. Keep God close to you.

And just like that, suddenly everyone on the internet is a shipping and bridge building expert...

I would say that's definitely a possibility. I'm not familiar with bunkering procedures in Baltimore, but ships frequently bunker from a barge that comes alongside with a delivery specifically for that ship.

I do know samples have to be taken and retained onbooard for a specified period of time.
I assume that a ship like that carry's a bit of insurance coverage for accidents. Pretty sure it won't be enough. But the funding can start there. I suppose that it will start with paying the families that lost loved ones.

I am sick of hearing EVERYBODY say that ship was three football fields long, after just saying it was 900 and some odd feet long!
It was ONE football field long!
And even This 79 year old grandma, who is NOT a
football fan, knows that!

Do you highlight everything to emphasize your core ignorance?

If we speed it up a little more, you'll be able to see the crew water-skiing behind it.
“A galley ship's commander addresses the slaves.

"I have good news," the commander says. "For all your hard work, you're each going to receive an extra rum ration!" The galley slaves cheer, but are quickly silenced by the commander. "And now the bad news," he says. "The Captain wants to go water skiing."
