Isn’t it interesting that Russia is giving to the west THE example of the rule of law? A country that identifies the perpetrators, captures them immediately, interrogates them, videotapes the interrogations for all to see, and holds them in prison. Who identifies the accomplices, arrests them, and interrogates them. Who searches for more accomplices and the backers of the terrorists who planned, trained, and financed them. Who plans to hold a trial and gathers evidence for that trial – witnesses, things they left at the scene, videos of the criminals in action. Who'd a thunk?

I believe they were well trained or combat vet. Their AKs fired in short burst. That is training. The longer burst were to keep people down while the real objective was being started. That was the burning of the building with the people in it. They had that equipment with them and used it with precision. They apparently all escaped but were apprehended between Moscow and Ukraine. Notice that their safe point was never brought out in the released video. They had a destination to meet their handlers. That is now being extracted from them at great pain. This was a trained teem not some random group that was recruited by telegraph, whatever that means. They had to have some assurance to be able to receive their money after the attack. Their motivation at this point is not Jihad.
Please take note that Putin is carefully laying out his strike and following war plan. I have no information to that assumption other than the look in that KGBs face.

For these scumbags to say, they were recruited online. And were paid for the attack of ~11k. Makes no sense with typical muzzy terrorists.
I'm sure that was something they planned to say, if caught. This was pre-planned with them hoping to escape. There is a much bigger player, planning this attack.

Yeah. If this were to have happened in India or Israel we'd be talking Hezbollah/Hamas, ISI or Taliban. Considering ISIS/Daesh's "foot print", their involvement is likely.

As to Ukraine, as I noted upthread last night, if their GRU had such a "team" that deep into Russia, there are a laundry lists of military/C4IR targets that would make more sense to hit than this atrocity.

Unless the goal is to inflame Russia so badly that they react badly; and draw in NATO. There are some in NATO just itching to start a big insane fight with Russia.

Maybe the Ukrainians are suffering from Bidensyndrome. The diagnosis is given when you don't know what your are doing. Cuz from the same link as above:

We'll find out who done it, once Putin responds. Not before, I don't believe. There is still too much speculation for anyone right now to know for sure. It's fun to guess, though.

I seriously doubt it was Ukraine. That would too obviously work in Putin’s favor to get support from the Russian people, many of whom would prefer Putin gone. Of course we will never know the truth.
